Brandeis caves — 57 Comments

  1. Those that recant and confess, will be saved. Those that don’t… well, hope you got something to cool down the fire.

  2. Thats interesting…
as Vassar is now a Nazi based college
(as many of them are now)

    funny…
but it only took a vote to turn the average german into a nazi, without any way to stop the progress of things

pilate could not wash his hands, nor could they
and yet, we refuse to see all the same parts.

    Note the buzzwords “social justice”

    yeah… talk about a Nazi concept…

The Mythical World of Nazi War Propaganda 1939-45
Chapter One: The Mythical World of Nazi Propaganda

Pitiable ghetto scenes were shown to incite contempt and hatred for the race which allegedly had urged the Allies to attempt to destroy the Nazi state founded on social justice. After seemingly endless footage of Jewish slaughter practices, which depicted the agony of animals being bled to death, the narrator made it clear that National Socialist Germany would eradicate the perpetrators of such cruelty and barbarity from the face of the earth. The message of The Eternal Jew was obvious–a parasitical race dedicated to gold and stealth, and devoid of soul, was fit only for liquidation.

By all accounts, The Eternal Jew enjoyed little of the success of the1940 release Jud Suss which featured several of Germany’s most outstanding stars in a pseudohistorical dramatization of the Jewish question. Goebbels took a consuming interest in the production of this film which was directed by Veit Harlan and served as a medium to contrast Aryan-Jewish stereotypes.

too bad you have no idea of how or what gliechshaltung has done, and is doing and cant be stopped, because until you realize it, there is nothing to stop.

how bout looking to Vassar and its nazi stuff?
how bout the polar bear hunting, and all that?

the fact that our presidents mentor was trying to start a black and white race war, with bombs, and an attempt to rob a brinks truck to fund weapons for that war… (or mansons similar reassons for helter skelter)

    or how about
Jay Z criticized for wearing Five Percent Nation medallion

Originally founded by former Nation Of Islam member Clarence Smith in Harlem circa 1963, Five Percenters see the black man as the original being, as the living personification of God himself.

“The rationale is that the black man is God and created the universe, and is physically stronger and intellectually stronger and more righteous naturally,” says Michael Muhammad Knight, an author of two books on the Five Percenters told the New York Post. “Whiteness is weak and wicked and inferior – basically just an errant child who needs to be corrected.”

“Jay Z is not an active member – no one has vouched for him” Saladin Allah, a representative of the group’s upstate New York region, said in a statement to the Post. “It was always understood that you don’t wear the regalia if you don’t totally subscribe to the life.”

The Five-Percenters’ name is derived from the idea that only 5 percent of humanity known the truth about existence and these “poor righteous teachers” are supposed to work to enlighten the remaining 95 percent of the true nature of God.

    Same Nazi ideology…

of course… like the past they are trying to prevent births (done), change democgraphics (done), ration health to shorten life (in progress), created civilian labor camps (done), removing guns from the target population (progress)…

    same target population too!!!

and like germany, the Volk are ready to kill the people who dont have a “right to live” as the state has not given this right to them…

being oppressors, and lovers of oppressors, the non volk get to die out… just like in germany… (with the Voik allowed to visit their frustration on the non volk)

  3. The Brandeis incident “highlights the fact that, in a choice between protecting women’s rights and protecting Islam–two causes beloved of the left–the latter apparently trumps the former in importance.”

There are IMO two factors at play, representative of the two leftist factions involved. Academics, i.e. leftist intellectuals first reaction is to appease, to make the problem go away.

The other faction, the far left activists are not yet ready to confront the Islamic faction. Currently, they are partners of convenience, which is why neither criticizes the other. They are partners because each rightly views the western right as a far more serious obstacle to the achievement of their agenda.

They are both at base, totalitarian ideologies and completely incompatible. Once the right is disposed of, the long knives will be brought out because ultimately, neither can tolerate the other.

  4. if you dont collecvt the information in one place
    you can deny anything…
its just a variation on the blind men exploring the elephant

by forcing the subject to be singular, you force people to see the subject the way the blind men see the elephant. your not allowed to look at the whole, and so, like the blind men, make up wacky stuff and odd things that among the blind, sound great.

if a sighted person comes in and can describe the whole thing, the blind men get upset that they worked so hard on such clever ideas and integration, and so, decide to eject the person who looks at more than one thing

they go back to looking at different parts of a whole they cant conceive of… and deny exists…

and by golly, they are going to make sure that it doesnt exist to anyone, by making sure nothing gets discussed without isolating it first in the rhetorical petri dish

    Blind Men and the Elephant
    poem
    by John Godfrey Saxe (1816—1887)
    [edited for length by n-n]

  5. 85 out of 350 = 24%, which is about the same percentage at my school of the far left/radical faculty. The rest are your standard left/liberal, and about 5 of us are conservative/moderate out of 170 faculty. The radical are driving the train at the moment at almost all schools.

What I found most fascinating about this incident was the fact that at one time (maybe not anymore), Brandeis was know to have a very substantial Jewish portion of the student body. If there are still Jewish students, I wonder if their “feelings” are now not a subject for consideration.

  6. Artfldgr:

In the interests of brevity where you lose very little by brevity, why not just post a link to the poem, rather than the entire thing? I edited your post in order to do that.

  7. I think you are right Geoffrey Britain. The unsuspecting “liberals” (I’m surrounded by them between family, church and community) have no idea the putty they are in the hands of the likes of Soros et al. Much like the German people who ended up loading Jews onto the trains. Blind to reality.

  8. Next up from the Administration at Brandeis: an order to only use Firefox.

    Or lose tenure!

  9. Multi-culti is favored over women, over blacks…

I could say, beats women, beats blacks, but that’s just too…violent, yes?

  10. Anyone have an e-mail for Brandeis president or president of board of regents? I looked on Brandeis site and could not find any.

  11. I had wondered when push met shove which of these inherently opposing factions would be favored. I am not surprised that the “protect the religion of peace” faction won and I am equally not surprised that the MSM is not trumpeting from the rooftops how awful it is that someone is favoring of woman-abusers over women.

Anyone with two brain cells to rub together would surely run and scream from the far left with stuff like this, but either the mass of sheep is one brain cell short of the ability to consider self-preservation (much less to reason) or they are simply so passive and/or so frightened that they don’t dare step out of line.

  12. Kyndyll:

I am pretty sure that a lot of people in academia are frightened to speak up. Their jobs are on the line. Plus, of course, there’s a certain strain of violence in radical Islam.

  13. The official Brandeis statement is worth reading in full. Between this and the Mozilla statement about Brendan Eich, I’m kind of developing a perverse fascination for these weasely, grovelling, unctuous statements: PC kitsch, or something. Bravo to Ms. Ali for calling out the falsehood about her having been consulted.

I had no idea Brandeis was such a young university–founded only in 1948.

  14. The Left cares not a wit about women or anyone else. The Left is a Sociopath. It uses people. It does not care about them.

The Left is a coward and Islam will slice its head off.

That is the only thing happening here.

  15. Ali was not silenced when her fellow “Submission” filmmaker, Theo van Gogh, was brutally murdered in 2004, so the idiots at Brandeis will not be silencing her any time soon.
What’s worse is that it is those who have lived comfortably in the US wringing their hands over how her honest statements are in contradiction with their so-called values of social justice and acceptance.

  16. It’s not an original point, but whenever your read the word “justice” with some word modifying it like:

    social+justice

    economic+justice

    academic+justice

    Just think:

    in+justice

  17. I just did a brief survey of comments on news coverage of this story. I don’t think I’ve hardly ever seen such vitriol from the left directed toward a woman of color. Protecting a barbaric religions that still exists in the 7th century trumps one of the ultimate victim demographics? And from an ideology that attacks all other religions as an unthinking reflex?

  18. This simply couldn’t be true. We all know that it is the right and conservatives who are behind the “war on women”.

  19. It’s very difficult to even talk about peace now. They’re not interested in peace. I think that we are at war with Islam. And there’s no middle ground in wars.

Of course she’s right. Anybody with a brain knows it. I was nauseated when George W. Bush called Islam “a religion of peace” in the wake of 9/11.

But much of our political class is hopelessly compromised. Michael Moore’s movie Fahrenheit 911 famously detailed the Bush family’s ties to the Saudis. That was, of course, a partisan hit job. I have always maintained that Moore could have done the nation a real service if he had explored the extent of the influence of Saudi money on political figures of both parties, as well as educational institutions and media outlets.

Meanwhile, those brave leftists feel free to mock and insult conservatives and Christians every day of the week. I guess the way to earn their respect is to develop a reputation for ruthlessly slaughtering anybody who offends us.

  20. Whatever children doesn’t get killed or raped by the Left from up to high school, will go into universities like B. And guess what’ll happen to them there.

  21. I guess the way to earn their respect is to develop a reputation for ruthlessly slaughtering anybody who offends us.

Leftists don’t value hard work or patriotism. They do place some value on their lives, however.

Leverage is about finding what someone loves and values… then crushing it via hostage and blackmail.

  22. Hirsi Ali is merely another target in the real war on women perpetrated by the left.

  23. the ruling class at brandeis were afraid to become what you and u were unafraid to become: former lefties.

but u n i would rather stick up for our principles then remain within the confines of a network of affiliation that’s maintained by patronage, handouts, set asides, quotas and special treatment for those within its pc borders.

    sigh…

  24. email Lawrence “respectfully”?? There is nothing respectworthy about a judas goat leading the other goats into the abattoir .

There is a tropical disease called Loa Loa. In which a small parasitic worm swims in the fluid that fills the eyeball. There must be something similar afflicting the brains of the Lawrences and the Left. It is impossible to accept such conduct and judgement as the product of normal minds. Their thinking is at first homicidal, then suicidal. We let them prosper while they work to send us to our doom.i am sicki and tired of waiting for the tipping point of rebellion that never comes while we suffer the Holders, Obamas, Reids, And Lawrences.

  25. I dunno. I’m stuck between the relative respectability of asking the Brandeis boss it were a bribe. Or a threat.
    Maybe both.
    I’ll think about that.
Thing is, such a lie about the reason, a lie so obvioius that only a moron would believe it, insults the targets of the lie.

  26. I’m having trouble respectfully working “female genital mutilation” into the title of my respectful email. I’m trying to make it eye catching.

    Any thoughts?

If that’s a bit over the top, how about “forced child marriage?”

I’m trying to express my surprise to find what sorts of activities are and aren’t “inconsistent with Brandeis University’s core values.”

    Ayaan Hirsi Ali? Inconsistent.

    The preceding? Consistent, apparently.

    Respectfully,
    Steve57

  27. By “respectfully” I mean skip the expletives.

Maybe I’ll add that clarification to my post.

  28. Neo: “It’s an interesting incident, though, because it highlights the fact that, in a choice between protecting women’s rights and protecting Islam–two causes beloved of the left–the latter apparently trumps the former in importance.”

    Context matters.

The Left’s target is America and, expanded, the Occident. The Left uses causes in order to re-norm our society to the Left’s desired shape. Women’s rights and PC-ness regarding Islam are primarily tools to control our society; they’re not humanity-scope principled goals unto themselves.

It seems cognitively dissonant up close, but when you pan out, it doesn’t contradict because the causes are means to an end. Their big-picture goal of transforming our society is consistent.

  29. neo-neocon said:

“By “respectfully” I mean skip the expletives.

Maybe I’ll add that clarification to my post.”

Me? Expletives? Why I spent 20 years in the Navy and… I rarely swear. Unless I drop something heavy on my foot or hit my thumb with a hammer.

We’d alway get senior officers coming in from DC who’d speak to us at these all hands meetings. And they’d toss around words like “deckplates” and throw in a few cuss words. Then pause at some point and say, “Excuse my language, I’m a Sailor.”

Everybody would roll their eyes. Every single one of them had the same act. Most of them didn’t have a clue which end of the boat was supposed to go through the water first.

I never wanted to be one of those guys.

As long as I don’t drop something heavy on my foot or hit my thumb with a hammer as I’m drafting this email, I’ll be cool.

  30. Ann, you aren’t seriously comparing the venomously racist Jeremiah Wright to the champion of human and women’s rights Ayaan Hirsi Ali?

Right, but thank you for playing.

  31. This is the thing that made me leave the Democrats for good and all. I was already out the door over their hideous behavior after 9-11 (I had the same reaction to that that Evan Sayet did: “I don’t know what these ‘conservatives’ think about everything else, but I’m damned if I’ll stay with Team Hate America any more!”). But I always knew that the Leftists loathed America; I didn’t realize that so many “Democrats” I knew in NYC were actual Stalinists.

But what really ripped the lid off was their haste to champion, as a civil rights cause, the most violent, most misogynist, most authoritarian mutha effas on the Planet, baby.

“There I spied ’em, there I smelt ’em out.” They do not, and have never, given a rat’s fanny about any of the “causes” they allege to support. It’s all lies, all the way down.

  32. As metioned above, it’s actually quite simple. There’s no need to twist oneself in knots trying to analyze it.

    It’s called “Realmorality”…

Brandeis is protecting its backside AND calling its absolutely shameful decision “moral”, “ethical”, and “respectful human rights.”

Hypocrisy 101 (along with an MA in Hypocrisy and PhD in Hypocrisy—with a second major in Prevarication).

Masterfully done, actually. The best of both worlds, to be sure.

On the other hand, how else would any self-respecting, liberal institution of higher learning respond to the not-so-vague potential threats of the Religion of Peace?

File under: Nice little university you have there. It would be a real shame if something were to happen to it….

  33. Beverly,

I believe Ann is referring to the phenomenon of a university withdrawing an honorary degree over a controversy rather than comparing the merits of Ali and Wright.

What I believe to be Ann’s point supports a point I often make – that our society has been programmed to respond in predictable ways to activist cues and the utility of those cues is not limited to the Left. The cues can be used against the Left, too, eg, Wright in Ann’s example.

Stigmatizing controversies don’t arise spontaneously. They’re designed and deliberately carried out to activate cues, which happened in the Mozilla Eich case, too. It’s the activist method. It works. And anyone can use it.

  34. we regret that we were not aware of these statements earlier

You’re being generous when you call them disingenuous. I’d call them “lying liars who lie”.

Surely they know how to use Google? I’m pretty sure Hirsi Ali has published books *looks at Google* yep, several.

Morons. I couldn’t afford to send children/attend Brandeis or donate money to them, but if I did, that would end pretty darn quickly.

  35. Pingback:So Brandeis University supports Islam? » Musings of the Angry Webmaster

  36. It is merely a continuation of a decades-long trend in academia towards placating the left and cowardice.

cant help letting them off the hook…

    ie. they are NOT placating…

that would imply they were against them, but had no choice but to try to silence them by giving in….

they are COMPLICIT, and do not wish the public to realize it, or else they get ejected, and so their complicity ends and their position as a 5th column personage fades with their funding

    stop giving them excuses

or at least realise that reflexive excuse is not reflective excuse…

  37. A Tale of Two Cities:
    Bad News in Ann Arbor,
    Good News in Brooklyn
    The Brandeis Brief
    April 2014

Several disturbing anti-Semitism reports are coming out of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Brandeis Center lawyers are investigating. Anti-Israel activists failed in their efforts to convince the University of Michigan student government to adopt a boycott resolution. Enraged, they have reportedly threatened and harassed Jewish students, calling them “dirty Jew” and “kike.”

i mentioned this in the begining, as its also at Vassar, and many more…

    just compare and contrast this:
    Anti-Semitism
    http://projects.vassar.edu/1896/antisemitism.html
In the cultural climate of nineteenth century America anti-Semitism was an acceptable form of social prejudice. There has been a history of anti-Semitism in western society for centuries, and the United States is no exception to that fact. The political uses of anti-Semitism had been well proven before, and would be proven again in the 1896 presidential campaign. No political party was above using anti-Semitism, especially to appeal to Christian constituents, but it was the Populist party who used anti-Semitism most distinctively.

    with this
California’s Brownshirt Anti-Semitism Comes to Vassar
    http://www.americanthinker.com/2014/04/californias_brownshirt_antisemitism_comes_to_vassar.html

    Wrote Professor Zoloth:
“As the counter demonstrators poured into the plaza, screaming at the Jews to ‘Get out or we will kill you’ and ‘Hitler did not finish the job,’ I turned to the police and to every administrator I could find and asked them to remove the counter demonstrators from the Plaza, to maintain the separation of 100 feet that we had been promised. The police told me that they had been told not to arrest anyone, and that if they did, “it would start a riot.” I told them that it already was a riot.”

even the southern poverty law center notices
College Campuses See Rising Anti-Semitic Sentiment
    Hate on California, Oregon Campuses
    http://www.splcenter.org/get-informed/intelligence-report/browse-all-issues/2008/fall/anti-semitism-goes-to-school

Half a century ago, American institutions of higher education nationwide had quotas sharply restricting the number of Jewish students allowed to enroll. Today, those quotas have ceased to exist – along with the school-sanctioned discrimination they embodied. But while anti-Jewish sentiment no longer receives the blessing of university officials, it hasn’t been fully eradicated from campuses. “Many colleges throughout the United States continue to experience incidents of anti-Semitism,” states a 2006 report from the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. “This is a serious problem which warrants further attention.”

the funniest thing (from a standing apart perspective) is that the ones yelling nazi are the nazis…

    they hate jews
    they hate christians
they favor multicultural fixes (blood and soil)
    they nationalize everything
(nazi = nationalizers, not the common explanation from their name. the latter obfuscates the discriptive that might help one recognize what they do)
    they want to seize firearms
they favor the volk with goodies, including allowing them to be violent against a common enemy they declare who are less equal
they rewrite history, and orchestrate fake things to appear real to manipulate the population
they suffused their ideas into the educational system so that those who would fight against it, use that same energy fighting FOR it, while thinking otherwise

  38. The Leftists are enemies of humanity. For those that don’t understand what evil means outside of a religious scope, that’s what it is.

They aren’t a stopped clock, right twice a day. They are always wrong, because where ever the side of humans is, you will find the Left opposing it on the other.

As for B U liking the rape a thon, here’s another kind of intellectual retard that likes it.

Vox calls him McRapey, aka John Scalzi.

    http://voxday.blogspot.com/2012/10/john-scalzi-is-rapist.html

The intellectual profs at B are getting a kick out of this. There’s good odds on it for the bet.

  39. and as i said… obamacare and other cahnges have duplicated Akton T4 which was the medical euthanasia stuff that came before T14, the final solution

we are not far from the final solutoni being the eradication of the people being blamed for all ills in history and time…

    poor Terry Mace…
    heart attack, fall, hits head…
goes to court, family gets guardianship and a court order preventing the dehydrate decision..

(ie. since killing them would be murder, they instead drug em up and let them die of dehydration helplessly tortured in their final moments, but since the people giving the drugs dont see them move, they feel free to believe that the person doesnt suffer lets give one of them some Mivacurium, and let one of their coworkers “treat” them till it wears off)

doctors at Seton Medical Center Williamson surprised the family by removing the feeding and hydration tubes for Mace sometime within the past few days.

After receiving a phone call Monday morning from Mace’s father, Casey went to the hospital and saw the tubes had been removed. Mace’s father got a doctor to reconnect the hydration tube Monday afternoon, Casey said. Mace died about 1 a.m. Tuesday. The hospital’s director of communications, Adrienne Lallo, released a statement Tuesday afternoon saying the hospital had cooperated with Mace’s family.

    Some cooperation.

Apparently the hospital didn’t adequately explain that “comfort care” actually meant in Mace’s case, ”dehydrate to death:”

Doctors had told Mace’s family over the weekend that they were providing “comfort care” to him, meaning they were keeping him sedated and making sure he wasn’t choking, said Casey. Mace’s parents might have been confused about what kind of treatment their son was receiving, their lawyers said.

this is very similar to what became regular practice in germany… as the infirm were hurried along to the choir triumphant and the families were given excuses.

ie. once the system finds its ok to lie to people for its own ends, it then starts to do this all over… so its ok to have the public spravka, that all is good, we do our best, etc… and in the dark background, the actual reasonong and goals, which the argument for consumption guards and makes ok…

i have been describing this as something to look for… like dark clouds before a storm… but we cant even notice that we dont notice the ukrain world war heating up and how the financial parts are all gettign ready for it, despite ecnomic signals otehrwise.

  40. Artfldgr:

There is no question whatsoever that many many many in academia are on the left and of the left.

However, the point I was trying to make by using the word “placating” is that many of those in academia who are not leftists (and there are still quite a few of those, although they are in the minority) placate the left and leftist causes, though cowardice and fear.

  41. note reason number 5 is the same as the nazi spravka

    5. Discovery of a serious defect is grounds for termination. Fetal development can turn tragic at any point. Most people agree that abortion should be permitted when a grave defect is discovered at amniocentesis. In the partial-birth abortion debate, pro-choicers extended this rationale, arguing that abortions in the third trimester should be permitted when horrible defects were identified at that stage. Giubilini and Minerva take this argument to the next level, noting that defects often remain undiscovered until birth

The authors conclude that “if a disease has not been detected during the pregnancy, if something went wrong during the delivery, or if economical, social or psychological circumstances change such that taking care of the offspring becomes an unbearable burden on someone, then people should be given the chance of not being forced to do something they cannot afford.” And it isn’t clear where the line against infanticide would be drawn. “We do not put forward any claim about the moment at which after-birth abortion would no longer be permissible,” Giubilini and Minerva write. They doubt that “more than a few days would be necessary for doctors to detect any abnormality in the child.” But critics are already noting that many defects are discovered later.

    contrast them with hitler…
He who is bodily and mentally not sound and deserving may not perpetuate this misfortune in the bodies of his children. The vé¶lkische [people’s] state has to perform the most gigantic rearing-task here. One day, however, it will appear as a deed greater than the most victorious wars of our present bourgeois era Hitler Mein Kampf (1924)

The more severely burdened should not propogate themselves… If we do nothing but make mental and physical cripples capable of propagating themselves, and the healthy stocks have to limit the number of their children because so much has to be done for the maintenance of others, if natural selection is generally suppressed, then unless we will get new measures our race must rapidly deteriorate. Eugene Bleuler Textbook of Psychiatry

Hitler was in favour of killing those whom he judged to be “unworthy of life”.

Even before the Nazis came to power, the German eugenics movement had an extreme wing, led by Alfred Hoche and Karl Binding. As early as 1920 Binding had advocated killing those with lives judged to be “life unworthy of life” (lebensunwertes Leben).

  42. the liberals and progressives call people they hate nazis, but they do not realize that:

they say the world is too crowded
we must have room cry the liberals
but all they want is global lebensraum

important component of Nazi ideology in Germany. The Nazis supported territorial expansionism to gain Lebensraum as being a law of nature for all healthy and vigorous peoples of superior races to displace people of inferior races; especially if the people of a superior race were facing overpopulation in their given territories

however, if your an international socialist, then expansion of your border is not enough as there isnt another planet… so you have to modify the idea a bit so that you push the people making it too crowded off planet…

    what about Blut und Boden?
well, if you ignore descent given that the commo prol has no past and so has no descent… there is only one thing of it left, territory

The doctrine not only called for a “back to the land” approach and re-adoption of rural values; it held that German land was bound, perhaps mystically, to German blood.[8] Peasants were the Nazi cultural heroes, who held charge of German racial stock and German history–as when a memorial of a medieval peasant uprising was the occasion for a speech by Darré praising them as force and purifier of German history

but to the internationalist who ignored descent, then the heroes would not be german, but the poor oppressed tanned peoples…

ie. world nazism would necessarily be adjusted

if the common man could not think well enough to adjust it, he would not recongize it in front of him, any more thanthe german people did…

who like the left werer zealots…

all that was there, we now have.
and the gate is closing on the hog…
see how to catch a wild hog…

    one last copy:
This precedent was used to establish a programme of killing children with severe disabilities; the ‘guardian’ consent element soon disappeared. From August 1939, the Interior Ministry began registering children with disabilities, requiring doctors and midwives to report all cases of newborns with severe disabilities. Those to be killed were identified as “all children under three years of age in whom any of the following ‘serious hereditary diseases’ were ‘suspected’: idiocy and Down syndrome (especially when associated with blindness and deafness); microcephaly; hydrocephaly; malformations of all kinds, especially of limbs, head, and spinal column; and paralysis, including spastic conditions”.[41] The reports were assessed by a panel of medical experts, of whom three were required to give their approval before a child could be killed

  43. Here is the email I sent:

    President Lawrence,

I am shocked at your craven decision to bow to the forces of intolerance and withdraw your honorary degree from Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

Ayaan is one of the most tireless and visible advocates for women’s rights in the world. As her biography states, she has survived “a civil war, genital mutilation, beatings and an arranged marriage”, but apparently she cannot survive political correctness run amok at Brandeis University.

Disgraceful, and a blot on your honor.

  44. Letters to the University President aren’t going to change anything.

Only activist pressure would compel a moving effect.

  45. People can ignore being called names on the internet. However, psychologically the shock and damage is much greater when you get up in their face and do it.

Humans can ignore many things. Certain things are harder than others though.

  46. “I would like to see a backlash against Brandeis mounted on the part of its donors and alums for this craven official act (as opposed to private beliefs) of the university administrators.” AGREED.
