Koch in the WSJ — 7 Comments

  1. It’s excellent. My boss gets the dead tree version delivered at work and I read it at lunch.

If only Republican political figures would write and speak in that manner, they might even be able to reach the LIVs and wake them up to the galloping tyranny that is overtaking us.

  2. Among the progressives that I know the Koch brothers are the epitome of EEEVIL. I never heard of the men until progressives started naming them as the power behind every conservative cause. That excerpt is right on and I’m sure the whole editorial is equally well taken.

It’s good that wealthy men like the Kochs realize what’s happening. There are too many Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, and Hollywood moneybag types out there encouraging actions what will eventually take them down too. Why they are so blind to what has happened in Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, and other “People’s Paradises,” I have no idea.

I would like to be filthy rich, but I’m not. I know why I’m not filthy rich and it has nothing to do with the evils of capitalism or the “Man” holding me back. I don’t envy anyone who has gotten wealthy by being smart, industrious, and creative. Economic freedom is what allows that. Centrally planned economies and crony capitalism create stagnation and loss of hope. Unfortunately, we’re moving ever closer to that.

  3. Why they are so blind to what has happened in Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, and other “People’s Paradises,” I have no idea.

They’ll be taking a plan to the Bahamas. Their assets aren’t tied up like ours are by Hussein care and welfare.

  4. Koch, if they weren’t hurting the Left, would be ignored and ridiculed. But only for certain people do they bring out the full Leftist propaganda machine.

    And that’s telling.

  5. I would like to see Cruz and Palin start a campaign to demonize George Soros; he truly is a wicked man and deserving of such treatment. BTW, the Koch brothers are libertarians, not conservatives.

Peggy Noonan has a op-ed on obamacare n the WSJ that is worth reading. “It’s like wrestling a manic, many-armed squid in ink-darkened water.”
