Obamacare quote of the day
After all the insurance cancellations, the administration’s insistence that 6 million people now have insurance because of Obamacare is a lot like firing 20 people, hiring 18 of them back and claiming that you have created 18 new jobs.
Indeed.
Another important test pending:
The real test will be if Obamacare can deliver insurance with a health-care plan that people actually like by November.
Narrow networks and high deductibles, anyone?
That’s one of many, many “real tests” yet to come. Others include what will happen to premiums in 2015—figures that will become public before the 2014 election.
Why is anyone anywhere lending any credence at all to the numbers coming out of the Obamatrons?
It has all been lies from the beginning. It is lies now. And it will be lies until the last ding dong of doom.
vanderleun:
Who here is lending them credence? It’s not about credence. It’s about analyzing them as propaganda.
And they are propaganda. Reportedly 2/3rds of those 6 million haven’t yet paid and don’t know if they’re really covered. The administration will say and do anything to cover-up the debacle. And the MSM is fully on board with the deception.
Everything I needed to know, I learned by age 8,
i.e. re Obama:
“Liar, liar, pants on fire.”
Choom Boy’s Administration would be thrilled to have (saved or) created 18 new jobs. That bit of ‘amazing and unexpected good’ news would have been trumpeted hysterically by MSLSD 24/7/365.
“what will happen to premiums in 2015–figures that will become public before the 2014 election”
Not so fast!!!! Why would you ever think that these numbers will come out BEFORE the election??? His Royal Majesty (PBUH) will merely decree that this information MUST be delayed for some moronic reason or another and the MSM will gleefully kiss his Royal Arse and comply.
By the way, I am not a cynic. I am merely a realist.
Two points: 1) Hangtown Bob already said it–we’ll never hear about the premiums before the election–unless by magic they are going down. Which they aren’t. 2) 0bamacare as written is the trees and the irreversible collapse of a free market insurance system is the forest.
Every day wasted griping about how bad the law is, or how it’s hurting people, or the living deadlines is one day further from ever being able to reestablish a working system. And that’s their plan.
Once they determine that it’s impossible to go back to a free market system, they’ll finally admit that 0bamacare won’t work. And the only alternative will be single payer.
}}}} is a lot like firing 20 people, hiring 18 of them back and claiming that you have created 18 new jobs.
Ummm… Isn’t that what they did with TARP?
