Did you know that Obamacare’s Pajama Boy…
…is so obviously Jewish, according to the Forward, that mockery of him is clearly anti-Semitism?
Nope, I didn’t either. But I do know that the Forward has officially jumped the shark on this one.
For what it’s worth, I hadn’t really thought about Pajama Boy’s ethnicity at all prior to this. But if pressed on it I might have said he was vaguely Hispanic or Italian or Jewish. Certainly not Scandinavian, anyway.
At any rate, now that I’ve watched the Obamacare video ad featuring Pajama Boy that the Forward has thoughtfully provided, I will go on record as saying that, whatever ethnicity Pajama Boy might be, his parents are most definitely Not Jewish. Nor does he resemble them in any way.
So perhaps he’s adopted. Because—well, see for yourself:
I’d heard criticism from the left over Pajamaboy that “the critics are afraid of the growing demographic that looks/acts like Pajamaboy.”
I agree.
But like all the other “-phobias” the left accuses us of, it is not an irrational, but rational fear. Pajamaboy is the face of Milennial liberalism; more of him would destroy the country.
The left, of course, denies their own perfidy.
Actually, after checking out a few shots of “Jay” on the web it is easy to see that his discomfort stems from the fact that if you shaved a decade off of him and popped on those glasses he’d be pajamaboy. As it stands he’s probably just trying to get in the running for “PajamaDaddy.”
In addition, Jay Michaelson, the author of this shameful chunk is also a big deal in the LGBwhatever circles. This gives him yet another article in the hopper on about the same subject.

I, like you, didn’t consider ancestry when l looked at the ad. But now that the left has brought it up, I can honesty say that I can see that PJ Boy isn’t Black, or Scandinavian. But all else is up for grabs.
Once again, the navel gazers on the left see the rest of the world through their own eyes and scream about it…
What I find really wierd about this particular ad is that it refers the viewer to BarackObama.com/talk at the end rather than healthcare.gov.
I’m assuming this ad was paid for with federal money yet pushes traffic to obama’s political website.
Oh, for Pete’s sake. PajamaBoy is celebrating CHRISTMAS. In the hot-chocolate photo, he’s wearing Christmas-y red and green plaid onesie pajamas, with a string of white Christmas lights glowing behind him and red and green holiday couch cushions tucked in beside him. In the later “Happy New Year” shot he’s wearing red and green holiday socks and a green sweater decorated with some kind of white-and-gold Christmas image that might be a Christmas tree in a sleigh. There’s a mug with a Christmas tree on it in front of him and Christmas cards lined up behind him. You have to stretch pretty darned hard to construe those photos as Jewish stereotypes!
On the other hand, I had a good time researching this comment by running a Google image search for “Pajamaboy.” It turns out that there’s a humming — and hilarious — cottage industry of Pajamaboy Photoshops out there, only a few of which I’d already seen. I recommend it.

The Christmas references are clearly a diversionary tactic and a false-flag operation. Pajama Boy is a Jew who celebrates Christmas because—as I so clearly pointed out in my article—he has Gentile parents.
I think the confusion stems from the fact that this goober is a wiener and I have know some Jewish folks named Weiner. I never dawned on me that he might be Jewish because my Jewish friends tend to be people of character and courage. Two of them fought in the six day war in 1967 and I served in the Army with some stand up Jewish guys.
In my experience interacting with Jewish people both as work colleagues and customers Jews are not lacking on the ability to make decisions. The idiots protrayed as the parents who the wiener thinks might join the circus or have tattoos don’t exactly seem to be any kind of Jewish parents.
But what do I know? I think the man/kid some sort of learning disabled mutant who has to have his parents tell him to buy health insurance. In the end based upon my old man experience he is too damn dumb to be Jewish. That is all.

One of the funniest things about the “Forward” article is the author’s conviction that the right is angry about Pajamaboy — the article’s peppered with words like “anger,” “vitriol,” “apoplectic” — when in fact we’re laughing our heads off at one of the most entertaining examples of cluelessness we’ve seen in years.
I did a parody graphic of PajamaCare boy which I label Groucho Marxist. So yes, paint on that mustache and add a cigar (the black frame glasses and nose are his!) he does resemble a jew. Just one of many images in my parody video any conservative will love:

I don’t know if others have already seen this link that shows that in his youth Pajamas Boy was a baseball player who turned an unassisted triple play. The link says he went on to Harvard, whereas other links have associated him with the University of Wisconsin.

I’m getting my own amusement, poking fun at Pajamaboy – I wrote him in as a character in the current work in progress … which started as a quixotic attempt to re-boot the Lone Ranger as a straight historical fiction. Well, I am filing off all the identifying numbers and significant telling details. (And posting chapters as they are written on my website.)

I took PJ boy-toy to be an oblique re-affirmation of the DU and GuffPo; for it has been said that politicized bloggers post from their PJs.
I thought that his pic was oriented to this new medium.
I finally took the trouble to read the Forward piece, and was impressed by the sheer relentless energy of the polemic.
Another fascinating aspect of it was the attempt to suitably define fascism for the purpose at hand. It is to be defined not by what it, fascism, literally espouses, which is a politically mandated and coercive shared fate social doctrine, (and which in essence self-evidently constitutes the sociopolitical doctrine obviously held by some of Forward’s writers), but rather by the behavior of certain “others” who express indifference to still yet “others”, and in so doing, thereby refuse to self-sacrificially commit themselves to the principle of these others’ non-otherness. Or something like that, in basically the same price range.
The author seems to have somehow skipped the point that allowing “others” within the polity to die in a ditch as a result of their own free choices, whatever your supposed motives, is not quite the politically orchestrated jack-booted fascism which the Forward writer, in his own apparent political and social commitment to the core principle of fascism (i.e., through support of an Obamacare mandate), would like to make it out to be.
But yeah, he did make it clear enough that he views heterosexual drivers of pickup trucks who find smirking boy men comical, to be themselves politically suspect. They don’t seem to be getting with our new and open-ended “all society” project of positive liberties in the way a loyal member of the nation ought to. Hasn’t that national will been expressed? Didn’t we get to find out what it actually was, once it was passed?
Gotta hand it to Jay Michaelson though, he’s certainly Johnny-on-the-spot with that meme shaping project of his.
But you would think, or I would anyway, that such relentlessness, such frantic effort in monitoring and shaping, would get to be exhausting after a while.
My Jewish relatives mock Pajama Boy because they hate the Obamacare scheme.
I think the ad has the same theme as the print ads. PJB is worried that his parents have done something irresponsible; they are worried because they know he’s irresponsible.
The ad-makers might as well dumb it down some more and just add a tagline: “Irresponsible? Sign up for Obamacare and let Obama take care of it!”

Most leftys who scream anti-semitism are NOT Jewish. Judaism is not a culture, or a social club, or an attitude it is a religious faith. Most liberals I know who claim to be Jewish haven’t been in a Synagogue since Obama was in that Indonesian Madarash. They’ve traded Torah for Marx and gave up the right to be considered Jews.

You are correct that Judaism is not a social club or attitude: it is a religion.
However, it is also a nation, and I don’t mean the modern nation of Israel. Even secular, non-religious Jews are considered by Judaism to belong to the Jewish nation, i.e. to still be Jews. And it’s a nation a person not born Jewish can join through conversion to Judaism.

The more I see/hear this “pajama boy” the more I realize that the left just doesn’t get it. Neo, you had an earlier post comparing PJboy to the TV show The Big Bang Theory; How many folks on the left don’t get that we laugh at the dorks on that show and not laugh with them?

They get it all right. Their goal is to inflame with-us-or-against-us, circle-the-wagons identity conflicts.
They want people like you to laugh at and taunt people like Pajamaboy because if “there aren’t many John Waynes around any more” that means when the vote comes around, and people vote on identity misdirection rather than the big-picture good of the nation, then they win.
To meet the goal of the propagandists, it’s not necessary for the majority of the people who identify with or are identified by others with the Pajamaboy stereo/arche-type to actually resemble Pajamaboy – anymore than actual European Jews needed to resemble the Jewish caricatures in Nazi propaganda. Or for most German gentiles to actually resemble the aryan Nazi poster boy for that matter.
Their goal is to carve out groups and generate social-cultural conflicts they can maneuver and politically exploit.
If they can get the popular debate on Obamacare to spotlight on social-cultural mud-slinging over Pajamaboy as identity conflict, that’s mission accomplished for their propagandists.
