The LA Times… — 17 Comments

  1. Propaganda needs no defense regarding inaccuracy, its loyalty is not to objective truth but to a ‘higher truth’, the attainment of its agenda.

That the LA Times lists the story under “US News” rather than in the Opinion section, adds to the deceit of this editorial.

Political deceit is not only always an indication of an inability to persuade but of awareness of that inadequacy.

Those who deceive, justifying the means by the end sought, deceive themselves most of all because that built through deceit has no more permanence, than a house built upon “shifting sands”.

  2. Failure to produce factual evidence is likely due to absence of such evidence.. Good reason to disregard any conclusions stated (not ‘reached’).

Problem is, an honest inquirer needs to know what questions to ask: what information, critical to getting the whole picture, has been omitted (or deliberately obscured)?

For the reasonably intelligent inquirer who may not be up on the ins and outs of a subject, it’s not always easy to know what questions to ask; for the casual observer, fuhgeddaboutit.

  4. Okay, so they signed up 30,000 in October and 60,000 in the first two weeks in November. You have to figure they’ll double that in the last two weeks in November.

If they continue to accelerate at this rate they will have every California Resident signed up by mid-March.

This is great. I love it here.

  5. The missing breakdowns are critical to the success / failure of Obamacare.

When they don’t mention those items … it has to be looking bad.

  6. Neo:

Nice piece of critical thinking by you.

But it makes no difference to the true believers and low information voters.

  7. L.A.Times aka Pravda…Haven’t missed that rag for one second since moving to Florida in ’06.

  8. The muslims are going to love the fraud opportunities. Remember, for them, stealing is part of jihad. The bum behind the ground zero mosque specialized in insurance fraud.

Fraud, identity theft, navigators using the applications to sign and enslave more dimocrats, graft, corruption, special treatment for “friends,” no treatment for “wreckers,” death panels and shortage of doctors: all this is yours. It’s free!

One thing that has really stood out is the lack of anger that all Obama ever does is promise. In one month the site will be fixed. In one year we’ll all look back at this time and be blah blah blah. Supposedly, this is the solution that Republicans are failing to offer.

  9. “This is great. I love it here.”

Good for you, stay there. We in the lost zone of flyover country like you where you are. We don’t like you here.

  10. Obamacare, the clump of policies and regulations billed to be “health care reform”, is an expansion of Medicaid or subsidized medical insurance. This has two intended consequences. First, it provides an outlet for people who want their cake and eat it, too. Second, it is legerdemain which removes focus from a stagnant or recessive economy. Not to mention the progressive devaluation of capital and labor through trillion dollar deficits. Obamacare not only preserves the status quo but exacerbates it through increased total cost and subsidy of medical insurance.

Oh, well. People love to feel good, all the time, and they love quick fixes, without consequences. Who doesn’t love a great illusion? It diverts your attention from reality, if even for a moment. Well, magic and psychotropic drugs to take the edge off. Don’t harsh their mellow!

  11. One thing you gotta hand it to the communists about, they never seem to let abject failure get them down. In fact, they don’t even admit to it. Not even to themselves. They call failure ‘success’ and yell ‘forward’ as they run push everyone straight off a cliff. I suppose that’s why they always refuse to include themselves in the things they do. I’m sure that’s why they made themselves exempt from Obamacare. It’s only for us ‘little people’ to suffer this nightmare. Meanwhile, the communists are drinking champagne and doing congratulatory interviews on CNN and MSNBC.

  12. When facts get in the way of the narrative; don’t change the narrative – ignore the facts.

Wow, that is so simple – I guess I could be an Obama supporter too!

Didn’t need that warning. Websites like that can essentially break open your encrypted access keys and information, especially since the government has already confiscated various encryption keys used for SSL and https protocols.

  14. I noticed the same lack of detail, though I fully expect no real details from any of these agencies.
