Well, this actually is the Onion
WASHINGTON””More than a week after President Barack Obama’s cold-blooded killing of a local couple, members of the American news media admitted Tuesday that they were still trying to find the best angle for covering the gruesome crime.
“I know there’s a story in there somewhere,” said Newsweek editor Jon Meacham, referring to Obama’s home invasion and execution-style slaying of Jeff and Sue Finowicz on Apr. 8. “Right now though, it’s probably best to just sit back and wait for more information to come in. After all, the only thing we know for sure is that our president senselessly murdered two unsuspecting Americans without emotion or hesitation.”
Added Meacham, “It’s not so cut and dried.”
Since the killings took place, reporters across the country have struggled to come up with an appropriate take on the ruthless crime, with some wondering whether it warrants front-page coverage, and others questioning its relevance in a fast-changing media landscape.
“What exactly is the news hook here?” asked Rick Kaplan, executive producer of the CBS Evening News. “Is this an upbeat human-interest story about a ‘day in the life’ of a bloodthirsty president who likes to kill people? Or is it more of an examination of how Obama’s unusual upbringing in Hawaii helped to shape the way he would one day viciously butcher two helpless citizens in their own home?”
“Or maybe the story is just that murder is cool now,” Kaplan continued. “I don’t know. There are a million different angles on this one.”…

And this isn’t the Onion, but it’s pretty clever:
Sometimes The Onion just hits it dead solid perfect.
“One has to be a lowbrow, a bit of a murderer, to be a politician, ready and willing to see people sacrificed, slaughtered, for the sake of an idea, whether a good one or a bad one.”
– Henry Miller
Well at least the media is getting some of the facts of this killing spree out, unlike Obama’s 15 2012 and 2011 RTK slayings along the Potomac.
A devastating comparison between Nixon and Obama’s handling of their scandals.
Sadly, I doubt the left will comprehend just how perfectly on point is this particular piece of Onion satire.
When they finally are forced to mention the story in the press the only possible headline will of course be:
“Republicans seek partisan advantage in presidential killings”
with the killings only mentioned in passing.
And I totally agree with you, RandomThoughts.
This is actually a little ominous:
Marxists always target the middle class (aka the “bourgeoisie”) for destruction.
Note that he didn’t say anything about the prosperity, the rights, or the well being of the middle class.
Look how far they have to go to hit parody: bloody murder.
Not so long ago, they could have said that he was sending the alphabet agencies after his political enemies–FBI, OSHA, CIA, IRS, EPA–and it still could have passed as parody.
How long before The Onion just gives up and decides to report the news, because it’s no different from what they’ve been writing anyway?
The power of the Left is not easily imagined by those who prefer shopping for luxuries at the mall over fighting a war.
It’s best not to dwell on such things. Evil, after all, is tolerable if it becomes normal prosperity.
The Revolution eagerly awaits the time for Utopia, when the Leftist alliance will decide when you are born, if you are born, and how much you get to pay them for the privilege.
dicentra: And that’s what they have right now. Think about in the future when even that won’t be enough.
Oh wait, the future after Ted Kennedy and Seal Team Six.
Btw, how did the Taliban manage to shoot down Seal Team Six’s heli transport anyways? Why didn’t they shoot it down when Team Six came for Obama across Afghanistan and Pakistan?
