Jay Carney, though the magic of video, foresees his future — 5 Comments
Jay Carney was certainly prophetic in saying he would make a poor press secretary. Nor was Robert Gibbs much better. By contrast, look at Tony Snow, an exemplary press secretary who could think on his feet and articulate the Administration position.
I thought Clinton press secretary Mike McCurry also did a fine job during his tenure. Unless I’m mistaken, the person sitting next to Carney in the 2006 video is Joe Lockhart, who succeeded McCurry and was imo one of the worst. His name later came up during the Rather-gate fiasco.
Off topic, but Darrel Issa is a completely useless idiot. Fast and Furious a big waste of time. Now he completely blows it with the IRS investigation. Unf&#cking believable.
I had to get that off my chest.
For some reason the video had disappeared. It’s back now.
Southpaw…
Issa’s problem is that he doesn’t want to ‘make a mistake’ and lose his credibility — and that he’s a creature of Boner.
The Speaker is ultimately calling the shots.
Unfortunately for the Nation and for the Speaker, his ‘normal times’ instincts are seriously inappropriate at this hour.
Business as usual is NOT on Barry’s agenda. He’s going for all the marbles — the total Chavez.
