In other shocking news of the day…
…it’s reported that President Obama’s State of the Union speech will be “aggressive” rather than offering “an olive branch” to Congress.
Why, I’ll be gobsmacked! Quelle surprise! Who wouldda thunk it? Finally, finally, he’s taking the gloves off.
Politico writer Glenn Thrush describes Republican disarray and Obama’s plans to take advantage of both that and his newfound post-election popularity. Everybody loves a winner, it seems, except for a few of us conservative dead-enders who remain unaccountably pouting and sulking, unimpressed by His Greatness, as we plan to continue trying to impede the great progressive vision.
And Obama’s had it with our shenanigans; no more Mr. Nice Guy:
He’ll pay lip service to bipartisanship, but don’t expect anything like the call for peaceful collaboration that defined his first address to a joint session of Congress in 2009, [Democrats close to Obama] say.
I love these narratives. Including this one:
That strategy has its dangers: If Americans perceive Obama as too partisan, he’ll lose a serious share of his personal popularity.
No, he won’t. You guys in the press will see to that, as you have before.
[NOTE: In other news, TNR shows its own snark in an article reporting on an interview with the despised Roger Ailes, who points out what is, to me, quite obvious:
Rger Ailes is kvetching. “The president likes to divide people into groups,” he huffs into the phone. “He’s too busy getting the middle class to hate rich people, blacks to hate whites. He is busy trying to get everybody to hate each other.” With that off his chest, Ailes gets back on message. “We need to get along,” he says.
It’s an unexpected plea from the Fox News CEO considering his impressive record of provocation. But recently, “getting along” has become an imperative for the conservative movement. Mitt Romney lost the Latino vote by nearly 50 points, and now almost everyone agrees that the Republican Party needs to improve with Hispanic voters to have a shot at the White House in 2016.
We kvetchy, huffy Republicans, criticizing that nice man who’s tried so hard to get along with us and has finally given up in understandable frustration.]
to take advantage of both that and his new found post-election popularity.

Fox Nation Salivates over Obama Ratings ‘Plummet’
[by the way, later, its fox plummeting… ]
“We need to get along,” he says. – Ailes channeling Rodney King
if we all got along then they would be out of work
or is this a call for Gleichschaltung?
today its used to say “keeping in line”
national review from 2009
Can You Feel the Gleichschaltung?

The Gleichschaltung watch? he brought it up in 2009…
(you will ike the link neo, he comments on your stuff regularly!)
on another note, Matthew Aaron Llaneza should hit the news… if he doesn’t… why so?
given how people read or lookup something
not much different than obama’s friends robbing a brinks truck to start a race war (which kinda was the same reason charles manson ordered the family to act).
Llaneza wanted to “make history”
and if he succeeded, a leftist working with AQ, would have created a false story that would have assisted the current state into acting…
[word on the streets is the 20 or so military games things in cities is because this summer, things are going to get a bit rough – and they want people desensitized to military and police working together in cities]
TAke a closer look at the speech…
then take a closer look at the M-14 rifles
then locate their bolts…
obama had the marines remove their rifle bolts.
i guess one marine removing a president was one too many… but i would guess serving marines would be insulted.
searching each marine to insure he had no live rounds was not enough.. they had to turn them into tin soldiers and remove their bolts so the weapons were just props. (then why use real marines? authenticity?)
and this is a recent CHANGE…
The only lip service Benghazi Barry will provide is a Bronx cheer.
Artfldgr, I read elsewhere removing the bolts is not new. See comments at:

Oh, but just wait until the full consequences of Obamacare take effect come 1/1/14. And the aftermath of Benghazi and F&F are not over yet; no matter how much the MSM wants to whitewash. Hell, if Lindsey Graham has a bit of spine, it does not look good for BHO. Plus, the Obamaphone nation’s days are numbered by the FED’s splurge into QE to infinity.

Obama is at his political high point now.
If he follows through with an aggressive divisive speech it (for me) confirms how tone deaf he really is. There is no advantage for him to press against the Republicans.
He won primarily because the advantages of the incumbency are very difficult to surmount.
I believe more experienced politicians tend to realize this including among the Dems. It’s been relatively quiet among them and I think it likely that within a year we’ll be hearing some triangulation from the Senate Dems who will begin to feel a deep instinct for self preservation as they realize their fortunes and the President’s have separated.
Obama can’t get his agenda (Climate/higher taxes/his version of immigration) through the Senate much less the House – dead on arrival.
He will continue to push via regulatory bodies and to the extent he succeeds he’s setting himself up for lower ratings as enough of the media is connecting his actions to their bad effects to have an effect on those ratings.
And now he’s getting hoisted on his sequester petard and he’s either panicking or will be soon.
And in truth his economic advisors – and for sure he – don’t have a clue as to how to stimulate real economic growth.
Obama will pivot to the economy. What does that mean? It means more government spending. Because, you know, only government can create jobs. A cornucopia of green jobs, teachers, police, firemen, TSA gropers, etc. We know the drill, it’s what he does. And when the economy stays in the dumpers, it will be the Republican’s fault.
I believe yesterday was Chinese New Years, the Year of the Snake, the color black, and other such attributes.
In other news, I found an interesting person related to martial arts.
