Just another ordinary hero…
…who’s not ordinary at all.
Like most heroes, Delroy Simmonds says that anyone would have done what he did. Wrong!
But I think maybe Simmonds will get some job offers now, which he richly deserves.

Bravo Mr. Simmonds! I hope he finds a job.
He did this happen instinctively? No Committee taught him? How did that happen in this cruel and insensitive, imperialistic, and capital controlled world? He risked his life without immediate reward? The Committee in Committee (CIC) is investigating.
On the other hand, we have “others” not so evolved:

But fortunately grief counseling is available. Unfortunately, no sharks or alligators applied. Of course, they haven’t evolved at all in the last 650 million years. Damn them. Somehow, all those trillions of little changes that occur which nature selects as she likes, none of them happened for sharks and alligators. They pretty much were “perfect” from the start. But does that make sense?
It is likely the attacking chimpanzee had been traumatized through the lack of appropriate “dolling.” The Committee now demands each juvenile ape receive species, gender, and habitat appropriate dolls. Of course, as usual, any ape showing the slightest interest in a rainbow doll will be encouraged and rewarded with Committee favor.
I hope we read a follow-up on this story soon telling us that this fine man has found the job he needs and deserves.
Problem is, when somebody like this says that anybody would do it, that puts some uncomfortable responsibility on others who might find themselves at the point of decision.
Shouldn’t be allowed.
