A slideshow of the Fort Hood dead
The names and photos of the Fort Hood massacre victims have been released, each accompanied by a brief biography. Quite a few seem almost painfully young, while two are not. All are lives cut tragically short by a vicious and cold-blooded killer. We mourn their loss.
Terrorism. n. The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or government.
Just read this in the Telegraph, a newspaper thankfully still engaged in real investigative journalism: Fort Hood shooting: Texas Army killer linked to Sept. 11 terrorists.
Major Nidal Malik Hasan worshipped at a mosque led by a radical imam said to be a “spiritual adviser” to three of the hijackers who attacked America on Sept 11, 2001.
Sgt. Kimberly Munley shot Hasan 4 times and he’s still not dead. Shouldn’t the police be issued more powerful weapons?
Agreed, Fred
Here’s another Telegraph article. Excerpt:
“Now investigators are trying frantically to identify Hasan’s visitor, as they seek to unravel the hours that led up to his deadly attack.”
Nothing to see here, move along…. This was just an isolated act that had nothing to do with the ROP.
Does anyone really think they will look into this deeply, with Obama and the DOJ saying what they are saying.
It may not be very Christian to say this, but I’m glad he will fall under the military justice system and not the domestic one. I think they still have hanging on the books.
And lets hope Tuesday’s going to meet Allah operation in VA goes off with out a hitch. Too bad he can’t be force fed a ham sandwich.
Reuters: Army chief fears backlash for Muslim soldiers
“Our diversity, not only in our Army, but in our country, is a strength. And as horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that’s worse,” (Gen. George) Casey added on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
With leaders like this, who needs enemies?
What ever new policies come out of this must must must keep in mind how they may affect moderate Muslims in and out of the military, we must be sensitive to moderates believers and not drive more to the extreme.
“Our diversity, not only in our Army, but in our country, is a strength. And as horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that’s worse,” (worse than 13 dead soldiers) (Gen. George) Casey added on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
On the “Why was Traitor Hasan still in the Army” thread, I commented:
“Traitor Hasan (that has a ring doesn’t it?) was retained on active duty because the beaureacratic impact of firing him would be worse than anything he might do, including this.“
Telegraph again. (Thank God there’s still some real journalism taking place in the English speaking world.)
Fort Hood gunman had told US military colleagues that infidels should have their throats cut
Major Nidal Malik Hasan, the gunman who killed 13 at America’s Fort Hood military base, once gave a lecture to other doctors in which he said non-believers should be beheaded and have boiling oil poured down their throats.
“Fellow doctors have recounted how they were repeatedly harangued by Hasan about religion and that he openly claimed to be a “Muslim first and American second.”
One Army doctor who knew him said a fear of appearing discriminatory against a Muslim soldier had stopped fellow officers from filing formal complaints.”
And as horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that’s worse,”
Thanks, General Casey:
Now I know that the “Supports Divirsity in the Army” block on your Efficiency Report is worth more to you than the lives of 13 soldiers and certainly worth more to you than my life.
Ehh, shit…. Here comes all the Muslim Sensitivity training and anti-muslim witch hunts I was dreading:

““I’ve asked our Army leaders to be on the lookout for that,” General Casey said in an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union. “It would be a shame – as great a tragedy as this was – it would be a shame if our diversity became a casualty as well.”
Islamic fighters were able to kill two captains, a LT Colonel, a major, 2 sergeants, and a handful of non-NCOs with one attack.
Given the disadvantages of fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan now, I predict they will start cultivating more of these incidents in the US. Bigger bang for your buck. The fighter lives to fight again, unlike a target of a Hellfire in Afghanistan. You get to shoot them while they are unarmed, too, unlike Iraq/Afghanistan. And your political allies in the White House will cover for you, unlike Iraq/Afghanistan.
They say corruption is a big problem in Iraq and Afghanistan, that this necessitates that we should leave. Do they then say that we should leave the US because of how much corruption is going on with Obama?
Every American that dies benefits Obama. It is in his interest to make sure more deaths will be produced. They have parties when successes like this, as with Saigo, occur.
