Obama achieves bipartisanship at last
Obama finally has achieved a certain measure of bipartisanship. The only thing is—it’s in opposition to his health care reform bill.
If a party with the huge majorities the Democrats enjoy right now in Congress is having trouble passing a bill, maybe that should be a clue that there’s something seriously and perhaps critically wrong with it. It seems that this particularly bitter pill that Obama and Pelosi are asking Congress to swallow comes in both red and blue.
[NOTE: James C. Capretta and Yuval Levin at the Weekly Standard point out some of the major drawbacks of Obamacare. In sum: “paying more for a worse health care system.”]
Bipartisan enjoyment doesn’t have to be in your Party’s favor … this is true.
A friend of mine used to say that “A good education is the one thing Americans are willing to pay for and not get”.
I was beginning to fear that quality health-care was next on the list…
Once again – it is why Obama, Pelosi, et al were so adamant the bill had to be passed NOW – even though there was no real urgency – merely the one they created. The more chance people have had to read the bill and bring things to light the more it stinks worse than week old fish.
Actually, it’s a purple pill, and is the size of a horse…
I R A Darth Aggie, if it’s that big it isn’t a pill. It’s a suppository.
This meltdown among the Blue Dogs is the most fun I’ve had yet. I never thought things would be this bad for the Bonga so soon.
Obama brought this on himself with his immediate hardcore, hard-left lunge to force America to his vision.
If Obama had been somewhat less greedy and more genuinely bipartisan, he could have set up himself and the Democratic Party pretty to run things for two terms easy.
…if it’s that big it isn’t a pill. It’s a suppository.
Excellent! I’ll have to use that one if I get the chance.
I realize how important it is to his followers that the president be hip and cool, but wasn’t the “Matrix” reference last week just way too far out there? What possible purpose could it have served, even if it hadn’t been buried under the focus caused by his comments on the Cambridge PD officers?
OlderandWheezier (love your handle!), thank you. Please use it in good health.
