Everybody knows that, in a primary, candidates say nasty things about rivals in their own party. What’s to stop the other party’s nominee from using those clips to their own advantage once the primaries are over?
Absolutely nothing.
No, no … you see when Hillary saw that ad she said, “I’m Hillary Clinton and I do not approve that message.”

The Left is irrational to the point where they are like an event horizon in a black hole. Past that, the regular laws of the universe no longer apply.
