From insurgency to civil war
Wretchard at Belmont Club has another exceptional post that’s a must-read, in my opinion. So, just do it. Please.

“he Left is saying we have lost. Some conservatives are saying we have lost. The right is saying we are winning. Some conservatives are saying we are winning.”
This isn’t a fricking pennant race.
Lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way already.
Steve, ever pessimistic and helpless… Thank God there are those who DO feel they can do something.

Found that in my Clip cache.
That was the actual link I saw.
From what I saw, there was something in front of the link. All I did was copy and paste it, then delete the http://www.blogger. &%$*( part in front.
Now it works.
I tried to fix the link, and it looks fine to me, but it still won’t take me there! I’ll try one more time, here.
Your link is broken Neo.
Perhaps you might help from using Mozzila’s “save link text” and CoodClip.
I use CoodClip and it is very very useful. I suggest it highly.

When you’re going to be copying and pasting as much as you do while blogging, a clipboard program is an absolute necessity.
I have made it clear in prior posts that I don’t know if Iraq is having a civil war or will have a civil war; I don’t even know when our mission will be accomplished.
Having said that, I think what’s going on now is a very transparent rhetorical struggle to get control of the truth-football. The Left is saying we have lost. Some conservatives are saying we have lost. The right is saying we are winning. Some conservatives are saying we are winning. The key term is, “civil war” which translates as “longterm internecine warfare that the US cannot control, so, we lost, let’s get out.” That is why whether or not we designate “civil war” is important.
I think as a debate it’s casuistry. Either things will calm down, or they won’t. Not much we can do about it now.
