More on photos: Kodachrome
A companion piece to the previous essay: Paul Simon’s “Kodachrome.”
[ADDENDUM: Another companion piece, this one by blogger Ed Driscoll in TCS daily, describes some of the newest technology in recording and communicating, and how they might affect the blogosphere through videoblogging.]
It makes you color (un)coordinated.
un if male, coord if female.
I have been struck by how “dead” the colors can look in digital photography. I like the super saturated colors of Kodachrome and the way old Ektachrome handled greens. So, I learned how to simulate/emulate them in my image processing software.
Now, when the “reality” of the image doesn’t suit me, I can indulge in self delusion at the click of a couple of mouse buttons. Do you suppose this makes me an imagery leftist, an artist or still just a geek?
“Give us those nice bright colors;
