A liberal is a man too broadminded to take his own side in a quarrel.
Love is an irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired.
Most of the change we think we see in life is due to truths being in and out of favor.
No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader. No surprise in the writer, no surprise in the reader.
One aged man – one man – can’t fill a house.
Does this make your liberal readers all a bunch of Frosted Flakes?

“O, it is excellent to have a giant’s strength, but it is tyrannous to use it like a giant.”– William Shakespeare
That quote about change being ideas going in and out of fashion is expressed beautifully in The Black Cottage. That poem just bowled me over when I first heard it read. Then I promptly forgot its truth. But I’ve lived long enough to learn it for myself.
“Anesthesia.” — Frost’s reply to a demand that he “name one worthwhile creation of modern society.”
