The campaign against Scalia continues…
…with columnist E.J. Dionne quite predictably calling for his resignation (preferably, I assume, while Obama is still in office).
And here’s Ed Whelan’s complete takedown of Dionne’s arguments.
But the fact that Whelan exposes Dionne’s errors probably won’t matter all that much. I very much doubt that Dionne is trying to be either fair or accurate (if so, he’s remarkably incompetent). He’s trying to rabble rouse, and way too many of the people who would agree with Dionne’s conclusions and cite him approvingly are not going to bother to read Whelan in the National Review or to check things out for themselves.
In deepest-‘alpha’ sleep, Justice Scalia is 876-times smarter that the putrid E.J. When awake he’s over 12,000-times smarter.
Gawd, I love watching the pygmies pound their infant highchairs with rage & frustration over the constitutionalists on this court. Tomorrow, may they have far more cause to bleat & cry!
Scalia should call for Dionne’s resignation, for which there is more than ample justification.
The good news: the Reds have obviously lost.
Obama is going way back for his strategies:
Like Truman, Obama will run against Congress;
Like FDR, Obama will run against the SCOTUS.
E.J.D. is several cards short of a full deck. The more absurd and frantic their protests, the more certain I am that the left smells defeat.
Wow wouldn t those lefties love Scalia out of there !
EJ Dionne everything about him makes me want to puke !
