The Institute for Black Solidarity with Israel (IBSI) – plus, Kamala and the Christians
I had never heard of the above group called IBSI before, but CAMERA is having a Gala Champagne Brunch on January 8, at St. Andrews Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida, featuring someone named Dumisani Washington as the speaker, on the topic of “Standing With Israel: growing the Zionist movement in the 21st Century.” It’s an interesting approach, because Christians are among Israel’s staunchest supporters in the US, and yet black and/or Hispanic people consistently are found to have higher rates of anti-Semitism than other demographic groups.

Dumisani Washington is the founder and CEO of the Institute for Black Solidarity with Israel (IBSI) and the former Diversity Outreach Coordinator for the over 10 million member Christians United for Israel (CUFI). He is also the host of the Truth to Power with Dumisani Washington radio program on the HNEW HD3 FM 102.7 in New York City as well as on all social media podcast platforms. Dumisani is a pastor, professional musician—graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music—and author whose latest book is the second edition of Zionism & the Black Church: Why Standing with Israel Will be a Defining Issue for Christians of Color in the 21st Century. However, I don’t think Kamala will be joining the movement any time soon:
In addition to everything else you could say about that, it seems an exceptionally stupid thing to do. Why alienate a huge voting bloc? Is it because she’s already written Christians off anyway, since she is so pro-abortion? But for me the most shocking thing about her behavior in the clip is the mocking laughter. She’s not trying to hide her contempt for believers or for those who disagree with her.
Actually, I have yet to see Kamala Harris laugh at anything that’s actually funny, or make a joke that has any humor in it.

Well, first of all even though she’s supposed to be Baptist and is married to a Jewish man, I think the only religion she actually believes in is man made climate change. Betcha she thinks that traditional religion is for, as Clint Eastwood’s Walt Kowalski character put it is “for superstitious old ladies who like to have their hand held by a 27 year old virgin” i.e. their parish priest.

As far as I can tell, her Christian connection is similar to Obama’s — it’s liberation theology combined with black separatism. I doubt that she, or Obama, has ever been exposed to any sort of traditional Christian teaching. The same may be true of Trump, but he, having been nearly assassinated, appears to be coming closer. In any case, he doesn’t disdain traditional Christians or traditional Jews.
The nation is not as religious as it used to be, but a major political candidate openly mocking traditional believers like this strikes me as stupid politics.
Not all Christians are on board. Progressive Christians, including the Mainline bunch, aka NCCNGTA (National Council of Churches Nobody Goes To Anymore) are working hard against “Christian Zionism”.

In all of history, no people have been more oppressed than the Jewish people. Yet, economically and culturally, they’ve succeeded far more than than any other oppressed group in America.
What message does that success send to black and/or Hispanic people about their ‘victimhood’?
Obviously it leaves them facing a decision to be made. A minority instinctively reject victimhood, like songwriter/musician/singer Bill Withers, who was installing toilets in new passenger jets before he broke through with the first of his hits.
Most take the easy path, embracing “poor pitiful me’. While a very few and by far the worst, feed off of that festering resentment, laughing all the way to the bank, scum like Barry Soetoro, Joseph Biden and Kamala Harris…

Mary Katherine Gallagher is a Saturday Night Live parody character, a hyperactive, insecure, somewhat crazy Catholic schoolgirl. Her iconic move involves placing her hands under her armpits and sniffing them when nervous.
I guess SNL fans and Harris consider her an affectionate caricature. Not me. I haven’t been Catholic for a long time, but it still gave me the creeps. I’ll bet not that many Catholics appreciate it either.
Sure, the Dinner is a roast, but roasting other personalities, not whole groups of people. And if one doesn’t know SNL and who Mary Katherine is, it is doubly bizarre and unpleasant.
Catholics are only 25% of Pennsylvania. I’m sure Harris doesn’t need their votes.

I know Materialists shy away from any non-Material explanation of events, but I think how Kamala reacted to the young person shouting out “Jesus is Lord” is symptomatic to an unfolding post-Christian America should she win.
And the coming out party for Satan, “the god of this age”, was showcased at the Paris Olympics with the mocking of the last supper and the ascendency of the Dionysus cult.
This blasphemy couldn’t yet be staged here, but in the post/anti-Christian environment of Europe.

It’s not surprising Kamala would laugh at those students proclaiming “Jesus is Lord, Jesus is King” at her rally. Harris would be the most pro-Abortion President in history, the most pro-transgender/mutilation President in history. It gives meaning to “unburdened by the past…” as to what changes Kamala would promote. I think it’s safe to say all of those policies wrapped up in her statement that “her fundamental values haven’t changed” while proclaiming at the same time she wasn’t the same candidate she was in 2019.
