Depending on your phone model, there’s often an icon that you can click from the quick settings menu: the first time you do it, you can create a network SSID and password. Then, just connect to that network from your PC.

I’m not sure that’s true any more. I’ve had Starlink for internet at my vacation place in NH for almost a year. Easy to set up, and, so far, reliable high speed internet.

Of course, it’s just internet, so if Comcast provides your phone and TV also, you’d need other solutions for those.

It strikes me that at this late date, with all the do-it-yourself-ing that you do relating to the blog, you might actually qualify for an honorary apprenticeship somewhere, somehow.

(In my little sphere, my do-it-yourself-ing is limited. Sometimes I can be helpful for me and/or spouse, but esteemed stepson is a *major* IT guru and he’s happy (or so he claims [smile]) to help out, more often remotely (via e-connection) than in person.)

I just hate it when there are connectivity problems. Fortunately, that “too many requests” message seems to be happening much less frequently. I don’t know why – I tried a bunch of fixes and maybe one of them helped. But since web developers are very difficult to find for a small site and are very expensive, I’m pretty much on my own when I try to fix things. I’m happy, though, that so far (knock wood) the new comments policy has been going very smoothly.
