If you came to my home, you would recognize my affection for trees and birds. It was only last year in reading Tom Holland’s book Dominion that I heard that birds are descendants of dinosaurs. I’m not married to the literal translation of the Genesis creation account but birds are mentioned on Day 5. And if I heard correctly, there is a “missing link” here in the record, like in the human account. No doubt I will learn more in the future as I have decided that when I retire this year, a bird watching society will be my first outside commitment.
