Leaking (false) details of presidential phone calls with foreign leaders is normalized now, is it? This Trump guy is some kind of special to get this treatment again. Back to another Barak Ravid story we see. Funny. Wonder who his sources are? Anyhow, it looks sometimes like every story Ravid runs is designed to damage Bibi Netanyhu’s electoral prospects, which hey, bonus, right Barak?

@physicsguy: How much more does Trump need to see they aren’t serious and put Hesgeth back to work?

I’m sure Trump sees the Iranians clearly. He may overestimate his options, but he knows who the Iranians are and how deceitfully they play.

My current thinking is that Trump is playing the Iranians, lulling them into a false sense of security, before he brings the hammer down again, when he deems the time is right.

Barring an unlikely Iranian capitulation, I believe Trump will attack in the near future. I’m not sure of the exact timing nor the concerns involved.

One of my earliest musical memories was the original Broadway cast recording of Carousel that my parents owned along with South Pacific, My Fair Lady etc. The male lead was John Raitt, Bonnie Raitt’s father.

Amazon came here twice today. I don’t even live in Hooterville. Two miles east of Hooterville is a crossroad named East Hooterville. For some reason E Hooterville gets their own US Weather Service forecast, unbelievably enough. I am south of E Hooterville and Amazon came twice. The second time to deliver $12 worth of irrigation system parts that I ordered yesterday. I am flabbergasted.

Carousel has beautiful music in an American idiom that can stand its own against Ives, Copland, and Bernstein.

But i cringe at the simplistic, neutered, sentimental version of God and Heaven at the end, which has not aged well.
