On average, they’re very happy to be here and assimilate well. The same is true of African immigrants, for similar reasons.

That her rind and eyes are still sharp enough to conduct serious business is a blessing. Old age with a failing memory and/or eyesight is a curse.

Her words of wisdom are timeless, and she is “one tough cookie.” She has more good years to go.
