Most recent self planted volunteer turned out to be a flowering plum. It is about three years old and five feet tall now. It flowered for the first time the first week of April.

We’ve had multiple mower problems over the last 3 years. A “mower doctor” worked to clean & revive it, and among other lessons told us to use only ethanol-free gasoline.
The best gas station that sells ethanol-free in our area is a company brand “QuikTrip”.
Luckily, one of them is being built near us. We had to travel quite a ways last year to buy some!

I recall when I first encountered WHITE cheddar cheese and WHITE “hot dogs”.
What a revelation! Tasted great! (And yes, I suspect but don’t recall for sure that the hot dogs were still not “healthy” … nitrates, maybe?)
