This is compared to far higher numbers with pretty much every other TV news networks. But it’s a telling sign of our times that across all TV news, the 25-54 year old demo represents in the neighborhood of 10% of their regular viewers.

Essentially the overwhelming number of viewers that still watch TV news with any regularity are in older demographics these days. Pretty much everyone under the age of 55 gets their news elsewhere. I think it’s fair to say that older people are less likely to adopt new ways of getting their news. To state the obvious, TV news is a dying format that’s becoming less and less relevent as time goes on. I think that’s a good thing.
