As has been said by our hostess and others over the years, the point is to attach oneself to the Good, Just, Righteous cause. Once there, that’s part of who you are. You cannot afford to find out there’s a problem with any particular support to your self image. Hating islamophobia is Good, Just, and Righteous. Thus, Muslims can do no wrong, unless they do, in which case they didn’t.

After a heated discussion on a similarly-heated subject, one guy asked me, angrily, “How do you know all this stuff?” I had shut down the argument with facts. He wasn’t complimenting me in being a veritable encyclopedia. He was angry that I had threatened his position and thus his self-image.

I posed a number of questions about things such as, What happened to the Buddhist, Hindus and Followers of Zoroastrianism that used to make up what is now Afghanistan? A number of history questions like that.
