"but they also couldn’t return them because the Maduro regime stopped accepting deportation flights."

That's an easy fix that the new SecDef should be able to help them figure out.

Keith, Union prisons weren’t much better. My Great Great Uncle died at the Union Prison in Chicago. It was a real hellhole, but since the Union won, nothing was said about it.

Prisons of the Civil War: An Enduring Controversy.

More than 49,000 prisoners died in captivity, at least 26,440 Confederate and 22,580 Union, an overall mortality rate of 14 percent. Twelve percent of Confederate prisoners and 18 percent of Union captives never returned from incarceration.....

In the North, more plentiful food supplies, the availability of medical care, and the relative abundance of resources should have weighed positively on the treatment of prisoners. In too many instances, however, conditions were scarcely better than the worst of the prisons in the South. Administrative indifference, ineptitude, and corruption combined with a desire to mete out the same treatment to Confederate prisoners that was rumored to exist in Southern prisons. Camp Douglas in Chicago and Elmira in upstate New York—prosperous communities both—left horrible legacies of their own.

What happened in August in Colorado, continues into December. Horrific story about Venezuelan migrant gangbangers violently torturing people in Colorado doesn’t get picked up by the legacy media.(December 18)

There was a horrific story out yesterday about violence in Colorado; I saw it on a few shows on Fox News, but it didn’t make ABC nightly news. My guess is it also didn’t make NBC or CBS News. It is not on Yahoo, Drudge Report, or Washington Post as of writing this.

The story is that 14 Venezuelan migrant gang members in Aurora, Colorado kidnapped and tortured two other migrants for four hours. They pistol-whipped the man, and even pulled out all the fingernails of the woman.
The article asks who is to blame. In addition to Biden government officials, the complicit media is also responsible.
So what are most people posing as journalists today doing instead of reporting on these dangerous gang members terrorizing the country? They are seeking to block Trump’s appointments because they want to protect the government bureaucrats and status quo, the same people responsible for the current state of disastrous affairs.

Basically, they haven’t cared about facts, or safety, for a long time.
Maybe Martha Raddatz would like to cover this. :)

We should study the southern prison camps of the war of northern aggression . Look into what a deadline is. Camps such as these would deter any criminal .and be very cheap to build and maintain . After a few months offer a ride to the border in a box car ,and let them slip back into Mexico..
