Regarding Marco Rubio’s nomination as Sec of State: Trump is sensitive to the balance of power in the Senate and House. It would be counter-productive to whittle away the majority in either house in order to get people into his cabinet. He also knows that Governor Ron De Santis will replace Rubio with a Republican, but Rubio is a known quantity in the Senate: a replacement is not. I have heard De Santis might replace Rubio with his own wife, but that’s a temporary nomination, and subject to Mrs. De Santis wishes, too.

I find it much easier to follow podcasts when I have them on an MP3 (4?) player, instead of listening from my PC, as I complete chores all over the house. As far as I can tell, you cannot download YouTube stuff or most podcasts that are not on YouTube. I have found a site that has a lot of podcasts that you can download, including the above. Type in a search term at the top of the page, and odds are often pretty good you will find what you are looking for.

I think CoS Susie Wiles (or someone?) has helped temper Trump’s sworn ‘Blood Oath‘ loyalty commitments this time around – such would certainly improve his Leadership ability, IMHO. Well, not Haley. 😉

Some politicking going on?

It was reported earlier in the year that Rubio had co-sponsored a bill to make it harder for Trump to withdraw from NATO. That doesn’t square with Rubio then being picked for a cabinet position– given the reporting that Trump values loyalty.

The Secretary of State projects the administration around the world. It better be someone who is totally aligned with the President’s view of foreign policy.

Not sure I understand this one.
For a terrible leader, Trump doesn’t sound half bad…
