Anne:

Have you shopped around for a different Part D? In several recent years my Part D at the time just about doubled, and I found one that was much cheaper. Usually there is an alternative like that. There is a way to compare Part D options in your state online, I think at the Medicare site but also at other sites if you do a search.

While driving today, you might start to consider the "Backlash." The other side is being "too kind" "too gracious", and "to innocent". Nahh--I am not buying into it--they have something horrendous planned and you can count on it being already well organized. I am thinking it will come through the Financial/Banking system.

Here is why I am thinking this might be a possibility. I have already received notice of my medicare Part D going up quite a bit for this coming year. US Bank is now charging huge interest rates and raising them even more effective January 1.

My DH and I are over 80. We have had two US bank credit cards for over 14 years now. One is for $5,000 and the other for $2,000. Never, never missed a payment, never, never late for a payment. However, since the middle of last year, the interest rates have been climbing dramatically. I recall that last year US Bank-- headquartered in Minneapolis--sent out a questionnaire. It was not obligatory, but rather came with a "strong suggestion to complete". Many of the details were personal and a bank should not have been asking those questions. I did not respond to the questionnaire, and my interest rate has climbed to 27% since then. I received a notice yesterday that effective January 1 the new interest rate will be 29%. US Bank is well known to be very liberal--publicly dedicated to DEI. I believe that that questionnaire was really about developing an information base about the middle-white American to enable future actions by the socialist party.

Does anyone else remember that it was Jimy Carter in collaboration with his young friend--Bill Clinton who de regulated Banking?
