Things that make you say hmmm:

- April: Simon & Schuster announces Whitmer book coming in July
- June: Biden dares Trump to debate him on CNN and doesn't do so well
- Today: Whitmer says Michigan is lost, pledges full support for Biden
- July 9: Whitmer book drops
- Next: DNC to choose a nominee by virtual roll call to meet Ohio's Aug 7 deadline
- Aug 19-22: DNC Convention

Somebody's sure getting ready. Who's helping her?

But it's Kremlin time in Demville -- feeble Bien's been exposed.

By which I mean, via "Casey at the Bat," that the Dems have hit a crisis point in which the Supreme Leader has been exposed as weak and failing,

Now all the long knives and short knives come out in fierce, lethal, intramural conflict.

I don't know how this turns out. Maybe the Biden crime family can hold out via the letter of Dem convention rules and their factional support. Maybe powerful Dems adversely affected by a Biden-Trump ballot in November can stage an effective coup.

I'm betting the latter.

I don't believe Biden in dementia can beat Trump even with full fraud in effect.

Art Deco--

Reports out yesterday noted that, over several decades, the Bidens have refinanced the two houses they own an astonishing 35 times, creating a complex morass of financial transactions.*

Nothing suspicious about that, right?

Edith Wilson's description of her 17 months of managing Wilson's presidency:

"So began my stewardship. I studied every paper, sent from the different Secretaries or senators, and tried to digest and present in tabloid form the things that, despite my vigilance, had to go to the President. I myself never made a single decision regarding the disposition of public affairs. The only decision that was mine was what was important and what was not, and the very important decision of when to present matters to my husband."

We seem to be living in an echo of Woodrow Wilson's presidency:

"Marshall's vice presidency is most remembered for a leadership crisis following a stroke that incapacitated Wilson in October 1919. Because of their personal dislike for Marshall, Wilson's advisers and wife Edith sought to keep him uninformed about the president's condition to prevent him from assuming presidential powers and duties. Many people, including cabinet officials and congressional leaders, urged Marshall to become acting president, but he refused to forcibly assume Wilson's powers, not wanting to set a standard of doing so." Wikipedia, Thomas R Marshall

Edith and those closest to Wilson may have clung to power but unlike present circumstances they didn't try to run Wilson for re-election. interestingly, Wilson's forgettable VP was a reliable partner throughout.

Oh, gracious. Jill Biden is on the cover of the August Vogue magazine, talking about what power feels like. This was planned before the debate, but the image of Jill as the power behind the doddering monarch is hard to avoid.

Inspired by SoP, I take it back.

It’ll most likely be Decent Joe at the wheel, Dr. Jill in the death seat and Smartest-Guy Hunter as AG (couldn’t be worse than J. D. Garland…).
Harris will be promoted/relegated/delegated to Secretary of Syntactical Nutrition (a new department, to be sure, but absolutely necessary if we are to win the grand battle against Global Whatever Armageddon).
