I’m shocked, shocked, I tell you, that there are grifters amongst us. 🙂 But it is, unfortunately, true. At least in the democracies it’s frowned upon or denied – though becoming less so. And that fact tells us that the Progs yearn to be authoritarian thugs while proclaiming they’re protecting democracy. A double game for sure.

It was 700 shafts, or entrances, to an apparently very elaborate tunnel system extending into Egyptian territory. Entirely possible that the number of shafts is overstated, but the main point is definitive proof that tunnels in Rafah cross the border. Who is surprised?

I think the question is how many of those tunnels were unknown before entering Rafah. I suspect most were known but new entries, exits and branches are running the numbers up.

700 & 50 both seem off to me, perhaps as much or more by a factor of ten. I mean cripes, the IDF is only operating in a fraction of the city, and that for so short a time as to make near impossible the “discovery” of 700 freaking tunnels. That’s got to be close to 100/day. Nah. 70? 50? Ok, maybe.

If our all knowing government spies knew this, maybe they wanted to keep the rest of the world from knowing it, hence the insistence that the IDF not go into Rafah. We are ruled by hateful, deceitful people.

Like many Muslim countries Egypt is run by an authoritarian, but not theocratic regime. They’re fighting two battles. One to control the normal population, the other to control the Muslim Brotherhood. So, they must appear to be on the side of the Palestinians, while at the same time keeping them out of Egypt, as they are just another problem to manage. In the meantime, however, it appears they aren’t averse to making money off the black-market operations of arming Hamas.
