If you want to survive doing nothing is not an option. Being besieged on all sides does not mean you do nothing

Richard F. Cook:

To live, even to survive, one is always doing something. Of course. However, one is still doing nothing about a vast number of things.

I inform myself. I discuss with others. I vote. I do some activist things. I work to make my immediate environment better. I help others when I can. I keep myself healthy, growing and happy.

However, I notice that those who are keen to raise the Do Something flag usually have only One Thing in mind. And they have a problem with others who aren't doing that One Thing.

I am from the left and the left kept me constantly terrified so I would Do Something too. I'm done with that.

Someone Else, “Welcome to the party pal!” as a grizzled NYC cop one cried.

Someone Else on our growing future pessimism:

“The integrity of the voting process in the United States seems to have been irrevocably destroyed, leaving us with banana republic-like election outcomes.

“I used to think we could undo some of the damage…Now, I think it is an inexorable slouching towards the end of the US as we once knew it.”

Neo and Mongo chime in to caution us about the unknown future.

Fine. But as an old hand pessimist on American decline politics, certain lines of pessimism have emerged and are more than probably — they ought to be expected.

Today’s newest manifestation is that the SJP Students for Justice in Palestine is repackaged BLM from 2020! It worked then to rig an election — “let’s roll” go these leaders of the useful idiots.

Matt Walsh is subbing for Ben Shapiro on his radio show. He shares an article from the Washington Examiner on their funding, and it shows no daylight between BLM funding and SJP: Wiesbach Foundation, Tides Foundation, Soros Open Society money.

And just as the Saint George Floyd riots and ‘protests’ were stages by tutored participants, so is to today’s Astro-turfed Palestine crusade.

Don’t be surprised to see these Brownshirt fascists repeat what was done in 2020, only these coming targets will be Jewish or Colonialist oppressing Zionists! And later Trump supporters. For certain.

Remarkably, a cohort of like-minded activists at Google were just summarily fired. (A one-off? Or back to stressed business business decision.)

This is a staging to grow an Antifa type Blackshirt movement to make us all afraid and paralysed into submission.

DO NOT BE FOOLED! Expect it. Prepare for it.

If you live in a city, organise your immediate neighbours for security. Use the existing crime threat before invoking the new BLM protests. What’s bin campus moves off, soon enough.

Prepare to police and patrol to keep out strangers.

Suburbanites scale differently because the ‘burbs are a car culture. You can organise neighbourhood watches.

And almost everyone has friends or friends of friends with rural vacation home or else a hobby farm further out. These locales are your best plan B, when the rioters move out of the city and your local fuzz are stood down by evil pols.

In rural places, practice shooting. Store emergency food and water. Pool your resources.

The riots and protests are just practice for the post-election mayhem that’s certain to occur.

Someone else is properly concerned with our corrupt, perverted, and rigged elections. The evil Bushites have controlled the RNC and actively not policed election security. They had no effort organised to combat this Dem primary tool until the new RNC Director changed that only last month.

Thus corrupt and rigged elections are coming. What come next is that the losing side will reject the election outcome — regardless of the facts

Already the failing Georgia “Fake Electors” lawsuits are now spreading to Arizona and Michigan and Nevada. This obvious orchestrated Law Fare will continue to grow, guaranteed to polarise the electorate.

What then? After the election? Protest and violence? The National Guard will be called out. Martial law or the threat of it will come.

We are certain to get a hotter version of the cold Civil War that was our originating Revolution.

We need to look past the secessionist Civil War. For example, that was a clear sectional oppression geographic with only border states in the thick of it.

By contrast, the movement for independence, marshalled by Tom Paine’s “Common Sense” turned protests like the Boston Tea Party into a galvanising movement. Unlike the Civil War, more families and neighbours were divided by the issues, just as FJB and DJT do today.

Back then, the popular division was roughly one-third for Independence, one-third loyalist to Great Britain, and one-third neutral or undecided. It was enough in the end, only barely — given loans, arms and men from Britains enemies.

Since a similar demographic from them applies to us today, we can also expect a low intensity conflict, post-election.

The American War for Independence claimed only 17,000 lives from a total population that was roughly a handful of millions.

Low intensity. Yes.

But because the dangerous and evil elites need purging from power if not life, and because irrational emotions are engaged, my hope is for a much greater and decisive conflagration.

WE NEED A serious and violent bloodletting PURGE. What’s more likely to come will simply prolong the pain, the slow and ugly death of the embers of Americanism.

They say ”careful what you wish for….” as a warning against hoping for dire consequences. Well, I look and say YES to this scene, however horrifying it will be. It is necessary.

But it’s not now what’s on the table. Too few have the courage of their convictions and what is required to faithfully fulfil them.

There was a week or two ago news story on Oklahoma adopting an anti-immigrant law just like Texas has. With a man advocating for a compact of states to do likewise and defend us against the Biden replacement invasion at the state level. But too many “Red” states have Dem urban cesspool regions for that.

This would sketch out a path for agitating secession. But I haven’t heard anything after then. I wish this was a movement because solidarity is decisive for any successful results.

So, adjust your expectations. Organise your neighbours and friends. Have a Plan B refuge. Collect emergency food and water, blankets and fire, if not generators. It won’t be unprecedented but will continue these precedents, mostly.

From that sad, dejected, and pessimistic decline perspective, anything better will be a surprise.

If you want to survive doing nothing is not an option. Being besieged on all sides does not mean you do nothing. It may mean you prioritize and devoted resources to the fight you have the best chance of winning. And I fail to see how a movie quote is relevant.
