Newt had a similar problem to a lot of people in his position. He was a rebel who ended up being part of the Establishment. It didn’t help that maverick conservatism turned into Conservatism, Inc. Still, he was better than Paul Ryan.

Abraxas:

I once thought Paul Ryan was cool. Sigh.

Gingrich was before my time as a conservative. I could surf it, I suppose, but I don't know where the bodies are buried.

I was impressed that Gingrich was allied, for a while anyway, with Alvin Toffler, the "Future Shock" guy, who made a big impression on me in the 70s.

Of course, we're all so future-shocked now, that's old news.

RE: UFO Crash Retrieval Program

If, as David Grusch alleges, there is a deeply buried UFO crash retrieval program, one long in existence, how would such a program work?

There is new reporting out from the UK's Daily Mail and other sources about just such a program.*

According to this reporting, the CIA's obscure “Office of Global Access” is able to pinpoint crashed or landed UFOs, even those which are “cloaked,” and then it uses either JSOC, the Joint Special Operations Command, to dispatch military special forces retrieval teams—SEALs, Delta, Special Forces, etc.--to locations all over the world to recover these vehicles, or the task is given to private aerospace companies, who have their own private paramilitary forces (we reportedly have agreements with many countries to allow our forces to intrude into these countries to retrieve these UFO materials), and what is retrieved is usually handed off to such private companies, which, as private companies, are immune to FOIA requests.

If there have been and are such activities by the CIA and by aerospace companies you can see why they would have–as has been reported—a great interest in killing the pending Schumer Amendment to the 2024 NDAA, which asks for all government actions regarding UFOs to be reported, and which also contains language requiring that all such UFO material held by private companies be confiscated using eminent domain.

When one is at war, one can believe that if victory has already cost 300,000 lives, it's worth another 300,000. One problem with Newt's optimism is that even if Trump wins, it's going to be hard for him to find appointees who are at once loyal and competent. The Establishment or the Deep State or the political-corporate elite has thousands of possible replacements for its upper ranks. The other problem is that Democrats' are once again going to pull out all the stops -- legal and illegal, legitimate and fraudulent -- to keep Trump from winning. There's concern among Democrats about what to do about Joe. It comes and goes, depending on how bad a week Biden has and on what the media is saying about him. But I don't see a deeper existential panic yet.

Ayers wright khalidi davis where is the fabian among them?

I don't recall mentioning any of those.

I said Obama was a Fabian. For instance, he explained to his faithful that full socialized medicine wasn't possible -- yet -- so he recommended the next step in that direction.

Voila -- ObamaCare!
