Re: Wildflowers

By title and colors I was reminded of my favorite Judy Collins album, "Wildflowers" (1967). It has some good Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell covers, but it was also the album where Collins broke through to writing her own songs.

"Since You've Asked" is the first song she wrote and it is sublime:
_________________________

<i>What I'll give you since you've asked
Is all my time together;
Take the rugged sunny days,
The warm and rocky weather,
Take the roads that I have walked along,
Looking for tomorrow’s time,
Peace of mind.

As my life spills into yours,
Changing with the hours
Filling up the world with time,
Turning time to flowers,
I can show you all the songs
That I never sang to one man before.

As a nerd first-class, I watch a lot of science videos and lectures. I came across this one recently and can’t believe I’d never seen it - right up my alley. It’s Feynman regailing an audience with stories from his time at Los Alamos. Anyway, I figured if I missed it others may have as well, and with “Oppenheimer” about to come out it seemed timely.
