Now that the norms of traditional society–buckling under constant attack–are fading away, and “inclusion” is now the name of the game, these oddities are what we increasingly are presented with and, not only that, but we are pressed to accept them as the “new normal.”

Ah, I can’t resist mentioning Jules Verne’s Une fantaisie du docteur Ox or A Fantasy of Doctor Ox, in which a scientist provides a Belgian town with free street lights powered by water separated into hydrogen and oxygen.

The scientist’s secret agenda is to observe the effects of extra oxygen on plants, animals and humans.

Naturally, everyone goes crazy.

My hippie uncle gave me a lovely illustrated hardback edition for Christmas 1965. He had taken LSD by then and I now suspect the gift could be called hippie grooming.

Not that I care. I was pretty much aimed to become a hippie in any event. I wish I still had that book.

Just stumbled over this guy’s channel on Youtube, as commentator joeybtoonz, points out all of the crazy things that are going on in our culture and on social media, and it’s truly both disgusting and frightening.

See, for example this at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paM8ed0sReo –this set of clips was funny, but the other things he highlights on his channel are far more strange, and crazy, as he documents our society’s descent into stupidity, idiocy, decadence, and madness.

Just a friendly tip, don’t try to pet and “make friends” with a wild warthog.
