It’s apparently impossible to get through to McWhorter (also Loury, I think) that George Floyd wasn’t “murdered,” and he wasn’t even “killed.” i.e. His death wasn’t a homicide.

If an honest history of our times is ever written — no sure thing — the railroading of Chauvin and the other three cops will be called America’s equivalent of the Dreyfus affair.

Compare the Clintons and the Obamas with the Bushes and Donald Trump. A sleazebag who has spent his adult life grifting and chasing public office is the modal type among Democratic pols. That they embrace them is unremarkable. That Democratic voters do is disturbing.

Just another demonstration that the prime motivation of demokrats is attaining and maintaining absolute power, and their constituents are merely cannon fodder, tools to be manipulated and bought, in pursuit of power.

There was no ‘diversity bridge’. The bridge in question was designed by Figg Engineering. Figg was founded in 1978 and has done scads of successful projects. The president of Figg is a woman; she is the daughter of the company founder. The lead engineer on the FIU project was one William Denney Pate. Mr. Pate is a white male born in 1956; he attended Auburn University in Alabama and was granted a distinguished alumni award from same in 2009.

In places like Miami that embraced Obama’s theories of school discipline, it is decreed that all races offend at exactly the same rate. So blacks and hispanics can only be suspended or expelled at the same rate as Asians (or whichever race of kids behaves the best). Which, btw, is a clue to just how nasty a character Trayvon Martin was. The MMA fighting gangbanger who bragged on social media that he loved to make people bleed had actually racked up a juvenile crime record so bad that he managed to get suspended from a school where suspensions were rare and only used for the worst of the worst.

And the flip side of the race hustle — hispanic immigrant with a black grandmother, George Zimmerman, was morphed into a horrible, no good, racist “white hispanic” due to his crimes of getting out of his car and walking on the sidewalk in his neighborhood. Is it any wonder Trayvon was provoked to try to beat him to death? Who can be expected to restrain himself when a man walks on a sidewalk in his neighborhood?
