The piece which hooked me, after discovering he had traveled through my part of the North Carolina mountains a few years back, was &quot;The Name in the Stone.&quot;  What a remarkable piece of writing and self discovery.  I just returned to the American Digest today and see it at the top.  Gerard&#039;s name is found in many computers these days, as is his uncle&#039;s, for good reason.  He ran a good race. 

He will be missed, but surely being in the presence of the Lord he is well.]]></description>
