Cannava, the school psychologist, is part of the LGBT+ spectrum. Her entire career focuses on serving the LGBT+ student population, and her tone carries the usual self-indignation of her kind. “I will not deny the fact that I have put parents in their place in my office or at school.” Um, okay. The role of the school psychologist tends to be testing kids for SPED to see if they qualify. It’s why they’re called “testing machines.” It’s 90% of what they do. Some do therapeutic work but that’s not usually the case. Therapeutic duties usually goes to either the social worker or counselor. I feel Cannava is working outside her wheelhouse in which she’s trained for, allowing her non-straight self to become bigger than she actually is. She’s an activist disguised as a school psychologist.

Guzman is just your typical overzealous “ally”, not bright enough to critically think about any issue as she deems anything as “abuse” (go read up on her background).

Regarding the potential legislation, if this ever spreads across the nation it will create unwanted tension between the social worker and the parents. Parents are already a pain in the butt to deal with, so this power grab is just that – a power grab in order to boost the egos of “the anointed.”

I’m the rare non-progressive social worker where DCFS calls are made every now and then, but never on the basis of a transgender student not being affirmed by their guardian/parent. I had one student who cross dressed. His mother did not approve so he changed clothes at his aunt’s house before he went to school. Whatever. He never came back with bruises the following day. If any fellow social worker said that was grounds to call DCFS I would’ve said to practice some legit prudence. The reality of the issue, boots on the ground, is that most LGBT+ issues are minority cases. Kids tend to be much more resilient that we think.

The current issue that pervades every public school is being forced to use preferred pronouns in order to keep your job.

In my state, for several years, it’s been a standard for foster parents to affirm the transgender kids in their care. That’s utterly ridiculous. If they don’t? DCFS will come. Remember when the LGBT+ said it was bigotry for Christian adoption agencies to prefer couples of the opposite sex to adopt? I always found that ironic given the fact that parents are being held hostage, their career stalled, just because they don’t affirm their transgender kid. If you’re a potential foster parent you either capitulate to the transgender craze or you cut yourself from the pool. The LGBT+ activists and their “allies” have become what they accuse others of being.
