We will attend the parade and fireworks in Huntington Beach. We flew our oldest grand in from Carmel for the week so all 5 grands together ages 9 months to 12 years. Maybe Gov. Jay Creepy Inslee will host an “America Last” rally.
Ps. The city even sent out a snitch phone number for reporting use of fireworks! That’s what happens when you let a bunch of creeps from California in.

At night my husband and I will walk to the top of one of the bridges where we can watch fireworks bursting near and far, for many miles. We can hear the crackles and booms from the closest show, a couple of miles west, but the farther ones are silent flowers blooming in lights and color then winking out. It’s quite lovely. Will get a water feature that we put up in our backyard running tomorrow. Monday it’s hot dogs and macaroni salad to eat. Yep, Mr. excitement. But each day I will give fervent thanks that I was fortunate enough to be born in the USA.

It’s well worth celebrating our independence. People aren’t crashing across our border by the millions because this is a terrible place. Whenever someone says this is a terrible country, ask them why they haven’t left for some place more to their liking.

It’s very patriotic, someone from the high school sings the national anthem, and there are lots of veterans groups for which everyone stands and claps, and of course the Minutemen groups from the various towns around here. Not to mention marching bands, floats, etc. I’m so glad it’s back.

Drought, I think, out in Colorado, which is understandable.
We’ve had far too many bad fires in the last 12 months.

Others are running into supply & labor problems.
