I heard it said years ago that the leftist thought process follows this pattern:
“Boy, it sure would be nice if we could xyz because that seems like a nice thing to do FULL STOP”. They never even think about the possibility of unintended consequences or risk vs benefit which conservatives do instinctively. They just follow the one single strand of thought to the place it makes them feel good about themselves and then STOP. This is why they hate us, because they know deep down their positions are stupid and can’t be defended and this is also why they are so ugly in their pursuit of our silence because preservation of that tingly little pleasure in themselves is *everything* to them. That is why Joe Biden can say out loud that foreign nationals should swarm the border and half the country can hear him say that and STILL vote for him. Because they literally can’t think past “it would sure be nice to help out all those poor sad people who want to come here FULL STOP”. That is why they can totally destroy our education system and keep their jobs (“whole language sounds like a good idea, let’s just stop teaching phonics”). That’s why they decided that homicidal maniacs should be released to the “least restrictive environment” (homeless camps). That’s why they wear pussy hats and hand maids costumes because it has literally never occurred to them that the mom is not the only physical being affected by an abortion. They can literally only think one single thought and then poof…no other thought will ever be considered and while you politely sit in the corner and raise your hand to speak “excuse me, what about this other issue” they HAVE to call you a fascist and try to get you fired from your job. We, who can think of more than one side of an issue are still sitting there with our mouths open…
Anyway, getting back to the original point. We have a lot of resources at our disposal but so did Venezuela. These fuckers are going to have to lose everything and even then they will try to blame it on Trump.
