Well that’s one of the places Chinky is planning to get his iron ore from. There are huuuuuge reserves of the stuff in Guinea — it’s just a small matter of building out first world stuff like deep water ports and railways to get it to them. Supposedly another decade before it all comes online and China can forget about Western Australian Iron Ore (which basically props up the Australian economy and pays for all the lesbians to get IVF treatments, etc. — not to mention a high price for AU Iron Ore will enable more budget blow out on the nuclear boomers — which won’t hurt the Senator(s)for Electric Boat.)

Early days. I don’t know Who / Whom or Why or How and can’t be bothered to try to find out. But it’s kind of thing worth filing at back of head and revisiting in 6 months to see who is in charge and whether or not work is proceeding apace on the iron ore project.
