As far as the family is concerned I am sure that they got “an offer they couldn’t refuse” and went silent. Just like the family of Seth Rich. They had another son who was probably involved too.

These people play for keeps. The way to counteract them is sunlight. Lots of it. If the families are shown to be complicit then let the blowback fall back on them too.

The Sicknick family spoke out quite a bit. But I don't think their statements were covered much by the MSM. I saw their statements, but I don't remember where they were all published. And at the time they didn't know much, either, and were waiting for authorities to tell them. As an example of one article, though, on February 26 I wrote a post that started like this:

Here’s a recent interview with Officer Sicknick’s mother. Note that it’s in the British paper The Daily Mail. It’s not unusual for British papers to cover events in the US more thoroughly than our own MSM, and to publish things the left wouldn’t be enthusiastic about here: "The mother of the US Capitol police officer who died following the riot on January 6 believes that her son succumbed to a fatal stroke – that he was not bludgeoned to death by a fire extinguisher as reported. "Yet more than one month after Officer Brian Sicknick’s death on January 7, she has admitted that they are still in the dark as to what exactly caused that catastrophic episode. "Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com Gladys Sicknick, 74, was unequivocal in her assertion that Officer Brian Sicknick was not struck on the head and that as far as the family knows her son had a fatal stroke... "January 8, Sicknick’s father, Charles, 81, told Reuters that on January 7, as they rushed from their homes in New Jersey to DC, the family were told that Sicknick had a blood clot on his brain and had suffered a stroke. He was being kept alive on a ventilator but was dead by the time they got there."

That's how early the stroke story was known. The MSM and the Democrats chose to ignore it and to assert the opposite.

Sicknick was pronounced dead at 9:30 p.m. the day after the protest. His body was cremated. I have not been able to determine when that cremation took place. I expect that only the next-of-kin can authorize a cremation, and that there would necessarily be a signed document. Given all the lies about the (?) “insurrection,” it is within the realm of possibility that Officer Sicknick’s body was cremated in a clumsy attempt to hide the fact that he was not extinguished by the Maga Mob. Does anyone have further information? I’ve subscribed to Greenwald on Substack, and suggest that others do so also.

Yes, there’s really no downside to it as far as they’re concerned. Now that they are activists who place party and politics above any journalistic integrity, lying becomes standard and widespread. They back each other up, except for rogue reporters like Greenwald. For people like that, the rest of them get together and accuse them of being racists, etc.. Once they’re been labeled that way, the public “learns” that there’s no reason to pay attention to the Greenwalds of the world.
