Back in the early 90s, I was working around Capitol Hill in Nonprofit jobs, and got to know some senior lobbyists and former staffers to senators and members of the House. In the 1980s, I would sometimes deliver Large ( often ten or twenty thousand dollar checks), because I was well groomed and wearing a decent cab company polo shirt, to various House and Senate offices
for fundraisers. I made a remark that everything is by check, nowadays, right?

As far as these two guys were concerned, that was the funniest thing I ever said. Suitcases full of cash are always available for a really crucial vote/favor/corrupt conduct. Chief of staff for a powerful senator, and lobbyist of great skill for a fortune 50 company, both had late 80s and early 90s tales of putting big wads of untraceable money in car trunks, Home garages of powerful senators, storage lockers belonging to members of the House.

A republican Sec of State? maybe only half a mil. Georgia has a nice low cost of living.

Big Maq:

You are supposed to look at the clues from PA, MI, WI, GA (not Dems but clues none the less) and evidence and draw conclusions. Or be a troll. PA executive branch and State Supreme Court went around the legislature regarding voting procedures - that is a clue, maroon. MI - Detroit precincts that don't balance, that is a clue, moron. There are other clues out there, not Big Foot, or Crop Circles, or the Lock Ness Monster. What a dolt.

Bye bye, don't let the door hit you in the backside, IMO, not speaking for Neo.

So we are supposed to believe that because there is a Dem Gov and SOS that fraud is perpetrated?

And that the GOP ( which dominated at the state level for most of this century) are somehow too timid to deal with fraud? Especially after their prior competitors claimed THEY won by fraud?

Come on. Has to be more than that.

Take the three Dem Gov states - two have had Dems for 9 years, one for 13 years. Were the GOP sleeping in between? Or, if they took corrective action - why be so quiet about it? Do they quietly re-address it after they are back in power, after the Dems change it back?

Anyway, I cannot spend time like I did, so this is the last for this line of comment.

Have at it...whatever other name you can dismiss this with.

OM you question my intentions, which fits with your name calling.

You are so inclined to question anything I say, as it questions some of your world view that you have to dismiss me outright - that is called ad hominem.

I use BM elsewhere in this world, this is not my only place to exist online.

The sadness is truly what you have devolved into, from where you were 4+ years ago - one of the voices that was a light here.

There is a perverse incentive at play here.

We are now in a world where many on the right are every bit as emotionally "triggered" as the left are, only on different terms.

Thus, it costs a politician (or TV or radio host for that matter) very little to claim "Fraud", particularly when they have a sufficiently large base of people who are uncritical and are inclined to give him/her trust without asking for real proof.

In fact, some of that base are so motivated, they will seek out so-called "evidence", the quality of which we've seen for years in reports that supposedly "prove" the existence of UFOs, Big Foot, Alien Crop Circles and Loch Ness.

Crop circles and Loch Ness have been debunked as fake - with some coming forward admitting so and how. Yet, Discovery network still promotes many shows based on these types of "mystery" themes - there is a sizeable appetite for such things.

Sadly, that incentive carries further in motivating a few of this supportive base to fake up such proof, or at the very least "see" something that is not really there, or give false testimony (even under oath - whether they actually believe it or not).

Add social media and the internet where everyone has instant access to all this "proof" and it snowballs, to anyone with a priors position that softens one's critical senses, predisposing them to believe and to be skeptical of naysayers.

Many folks here used to be pretty decent arbiters of truth, and rather skeptical, even across different "conservative" propositions. It made for good debate.

Sadly, not seeing that anymore.

This blog finds voices that support a mindset, but rarely airs much substantive critical views against that - so the followers follow along, or pile on more accurately.

No debate - just name calling from commenters who formerly actually had something substantive to say.

Very much like what we criticize the left on. Cherry picking content that makes their point and not seriously considering other viewpoints. Followers name calling or other methods to basically say "shut up" to quell debate.

BM was Big Maq as suspected. Funny saying you don't intentionally try to confuse.

Funny that cases have not been heard because of standing or laches or whatever. Can't sue before, too late to sue after. Funny that you dance around "why haven't you proven it in 30 years ....." Funny that all the actions taken by Sec. Of States and Governors that are Democrats have the result of reducing the integrity of the vote (signature matching, purging the voter roles of ineligible voters, etc.) Funny that observers are positioned so they can't see anything, if they aren't kicked out or told to go home. Funny that. That video from the State Farm Center in GA was especially humorous, or humerous (funny bone).

Maroon fits BigM, not sad, just true. Got any other names you don't like?

OM has devolved to name calling - used to be one of the better debaters here. Sad.

Anyway, s/he doesn't put forth anything substantive in response.

The point is, the GOP are involved up and down the electoral process at the state and local levels. The GOP had 4 years of leadership at the national level.

And these claims have NOT been limited to these past four - its been persistent through the last 30+ years I have been following this scene.

One would rationally think that four years is sufficient time to dig up evidence of all this massive fraud, claimed even in 2016. Yet... crickets!

We only hear about it afterwards, and, coincidentally, only where the results don't go our way. Not much different really than Stacey Abrams claims in GA.

We are 50+ court cases on the Trump side, and what is the result?

Are ALL these judges (many appointed during Trump's administration) really the ones with the delusion, the ones with some overriding anti-Trump bias that they are willing to overlook the supposedly "obvious" and "massive" fraud?

Making claims is easy. Actually doing the job of investigating them and then proving them in court is the hard part. Somehow, this is so bloody elusive for so many years.

Please do make the argument that there is so much fraud the Dems are engaging in in GA that the results are pre-baked. Let the would-be GOP voters stay home, not waste their time or risk COVID to engage in a fantasy vote.

Yea, right. You probably think they ought to go - the underlying presumption would then have to be that that fraud is somehow resolved by now - no possibility, so folks are good to go for voting.

Round peg, meet square hole.

But, if we end up with two GA Dem Senators --- FRAUD, FRAUD!!!
