Attorney General William Barr has known about a disparate set of investigations involving Hunter Biden’s business and financial dealings since at least this spring, a person familiar with the matter said, and worked to avoid their public disclosure during the heated election campaign.

Republicans and President Trump have pressed Mr. Barr for months to pursue Mr. Biden, especially as his father, Joe Biden, gained momentum in his ultimately successful bid for president. Mr. Barr has staved off pressure from Republicans in Congress for information into the investigations, the person said, without elaborating on his actions.

One investigation became public this week after federal investigators served a subpoena on Hunter Biden. The subpoena sought detailed financial information in connection with a criminal tax investigation by the U.S. attorney’s office in Delaware, according to people familiar with the matter.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan had also been looking at Hunter Biden’s business and financial dealings, as part of a broader criminal investigation that two people familiar with the matter described as an international financial investigation that had been going on for at least a year.

(55% likely). Over Jill Biden’s objection, but with the Harris promise to pardon Hunter, if (when? ha!) he’s found guilty of something that would send him to jail.

Sort of too bad more of the Biden laptop hadn’t been put into the Public Domain by the owner after Hunter forgot to pick it up (where he had left it? he lost the tag?). Where was the FBI since 2019, when they got a copy?

Also, weren’t a lot of US spies in China exposed and shot a few years ago, like 30 of them? I have a strong recollection of just one story, not big corroboration. I suspected that China, more than Russia, had a copy of all of HR Clinton’s emails from her server. Still think they do.
Funny sad that the US intel might NOT have a copy, but the ChiComs do.

Finally, getting the focus on Hunter might help to save Eric Swalwell. But I doubt it will, at this point.

Stilwell only had to deal with the British and the Nationalist Chinese (extremely corrupt and more concerned with the Chinese Communists than Japanese) while fighting the Japanese. Swalwell appears to be fighting the US while being corrupted by the Chinese Communists.
