The encomiums of Biden are manifestly false, according to what I read here and on Power Line and other non-MSM outlets.
Only two possibilities: (1) the Right-wing blogs are lying about Biden’s past; or (2) the staffers supporting Biden are delusional swamp creatures.

I’m going with Door Number 2.

I also thought Trump’s speech was overly long; in particular because Ivanka had hit many of the points very effectively. But, that was small potatoes; and I feel a bit foolish second guessing Trump on how to communicate.

Ivanka was dynamic; and so cool.

We need to hear a lot more from Grenell; and I hope he will play a key role in the next four years. Maybe if Pompeo gets enough and steps back. Smart and strong. (Tell me again, churlish ones, about how Trump is homophobic and racist. No, don’t)

The personal stories were wonderful. What a novel idea to have ordinary people telling real stories. (I say ordinary in a generic sense; these people were not ordinary as individuals.) I kept thinking, I wish my daughters and grandchildren were watching, but knew they weren’t. I hope that millions of independent and undecided voters, if there are any left, were watching.

I agree, though he did pick up the energy level towards the end (it was a LONG speech, IMO). Some people speculate that he purposely held back in order to appear presidential and counter the other side’s talking points. I dunno, maybe he was just tired. Blogger Don Surber made a comment to the effect “Trump needs to make a successful speech, if he loses this election, he will rot in jail–No pressure!”

I hope someone on the Repub side steps up and provides a media vehicle that gives our side of the story. It’s such an energy draining tide to have NYT/WaPo/XiNN/MSNBC and all the others distorting the news. We have blogs, talk radio and parts of Fox. Not enough.

We should all find ways to support RSBN, Parler, Gab, OAN, Epoch Times and other small-but-honest voices. It’s a BFD.

CNN is already dismissing the “bump” that Trump is going to get from this convention. They’ve got to pretend that it means nothing that Biden didn’t get one. They’re trying to convince the potential Trump electorate that Biden is winning and that it’s no use voting.

Biden is winning and it’s no use voting. If you try and mail in your ballot in a zip code that voted trump last election, it will promptly be shredded by the post office. If, after all that, trump still happens to have slim leads on election night in battleground states that Biden needs to win the election, these deficits will be overcome with hundreds of thousands of harvested mail-in ballots that will be counted over the next two weeks until the results all flip to Biden.

This being the case, I do not pay attention to his hair, his tweets, his at times in-your-face braggadocio, his public (non-presidential?) persona, etc., though for me it really does not bother me.
His opponents, of course, place a negative light on all of this and use it to trash him.

Imagine for a moment that Obama had Trump’s personality as well as his method of communication.
Your would hear the following about Obama from the media; “how refreshing for a president to speak his mind;” “finally, a president that tells it like it is;” ” a straight shooter president, it’s about time;” etc.

Unfortunately, many voters pay ZERO attention to the policies of a president or a politician and cast their vote for the personality, irrespective of his/her policy agenda.
Because of this, it opens the door to charlatans, con men and women; accomplished grifters. And if these sorts of human refuse are liberal progressives, rest assured the media will paint them all as sincere, legitimate, competent individuals worthy of your vote.
And many voters will vote as the media suggests.
That is the power of endless propaganda.

Nothing. Memory-hole. They have a narrative, and they leave stuff out that contradicts it, or slap a chyron on it that describes it as the opposite of what it is (“most peaceful protests” on arson and looting).

I used to think they didn’t deliberately publish things that they knew were wrong, until they put “Bush calls Hussein ‘imminent threat'” on a speech where President Bush said the exact opposite of that. Later I found much earlier cases that I hadn’t noticed at the time.
