The FBI and the IRS are after Omar. It is amazing she is a member of Congress. Minnesota is pretty good at changing there elected officials. Omar needs to get voted out.

Omar didn’t need Somalis to win her seat. Some voters would have assumed she was black and voted for her. Add them to the low info democrat voters and she’s in like Flynn.

It wouldn’t matter what sort of business it was. She would be opposed to a toothpick factory. The real common denominator is that she opposes all industry and capitalism, not because they are bad for the public, but because they are good for the public. Her brand of politics does not thrive in a good economy. She needs people to be poor, desperate, angry, and resentful.

Some other big uses for nickel; Hastelloy and Inconel alloys, sometimes referred to as super alloys for their high temperature, high strength, and corrosion resistant properties. These alloys are used in aerospace (jet engine turbine blades IIRC), chemical processing equipment, industrial gas turbines, and as the mundane non-magnetic drill collars and such downhole tools used for directional drilling in the oil patch.

The Sudbury Complex in Ontario has nickel, copper, platinum, and other somewhat useful resources. Wouldn’t want any of that in Minnesota!

It doesn’t. The Census Bureau finds 23,000 Somalis in the district, or about 3% of the district’s population. It’s a reasonable guess that their share of registered voters is lower. There are fewer than 150,000 Somalis in the U.S., not enough to form a majority in even a single congressional district.

The woman would, were these not the crazy years, have ample opposition.

Some commenters there thinks she has no chance against Mizzzz Omar, whose district largely consists of Somali Muslims; therefore they think she should run for the House first, so as to get some name recognition. And someone says that UT is not showing all her videos — FWIW.

I’d be interested to hear what you guys think, and especially any Minnesotans.

Several comments explain well what nickel and copper are needed for. One additional area is for the infrastructure for EVERY aspect of wind and solar power. So Rep. Omar actually is strongly opposed to ‘green’ power in her statement on the mine.
