Always delicious and east to eat even with a hamburger on them!
We noticed about 6 years ago they were not the same consistency. Thinking maybe got a bad batch, continued to buy them. One was worse than the last!
Forget the fact that they are smaller! That is the least of it!! They are now UNEDIBLE!! They are MEALY AND GUMMY TASTING! In addition to the fact that they are almost impossible to cut, leaving you with one side in tact and the other with a large hole! Lets call a spade a spade! Someone at Thomas Muffins changed the recipe and instead of going back to the original time tested success story, they are digging in their heels insisting nothing has changed! The company is going to run themselves out of business. Your product is now not so tasty!! Get a grip and reinstall the old FORMULA! Don’t insult your customers by claiming all is the same!

I eat them for breakfast most days when I don’t have homemade muffins handy. The wheaty, nutty flavor is gone and so are the nooks and crannies. Not everyone appreciates wonder bread texture and chemical flavor.

Regarding Thompson’s English Muffins; neo’s experience mirrors mine except I always added some preserves or jelly after the butter melted into the nooks and crannies. I too bought some to try to relive that childhood memory and am fairly confident their size was diminished. Even worse; “What was it? Blander? More doughy? The texture was spongier and gummier than memory.”

The founders of our nation had it right when they freed us from British rule and evicted the limey b*st*rds from our shores! A nation that would destroy such a product for short term profit is unfit to govern free women and men. A pox on the House of Hanover!

RE: Statins. Big pharma sells the statins like a drug dealer pushes crack. Almost any article regarding the side effects is also full of the results of sponsored anti-research clearly intended to counter the bad news. (Loss of muscle mass, for god’s sake, like older people need more of that!?) and painful cramping (my husband suffered from this so badly, the doctor had to go through two alternatives to find one that didn’t cause it). I’m not saying nobody should take them; obviously clogged arteries are a problem, but pay attention to what your body tells you, and if you notice any muscle weakness or cramping, look for better ways to lower your cholesterol, or/and make your doctor prescribe an alternative. Don’t let them bully you or overwhelm you with big Pharma’s disinformation campaign.
