I've been getting "Error 502 Bad Gateway" messages when trying to visit you ever since the name-change and maybe before; but not very often, though more often recently. Is that what you mean by saying your site is "down"?

Probably 80% of the time, refreshing the page or opening a new tab with the site's URL takes me right to you. Once in awhile it takes longer, so I go visit somebody else for awhile.

I run into this on other sites as well.

You and almost certainly your web manager are aware of the points in this howtogeek article, but maybe your other readers would like to read it also. Anyway, FWIW:

https://www.howtogeek.com/356389/what-is-a-502-bad-gateway-error-and-how-can-i-fix-it/

Also, the Wayback Machine has snaps of the old neoneocon.com site going clear back to your first WP posting, in March of 2007.

And I've bookmarked the triple-neo alternate site. Thanks!

You reminded me I had an old blogspot url. I checked it out, it's still there and redirects to my current one. I can't imagine what happened with yours.

I do have another blog for my herb club, linked with a different google account. It is used three or four times a year. Maybe that is what made the difference.
