The ruling-class media can’t seem to grasp the fact that they are hated by us normals. Every time they attack a populist politician (“populist” being shorthand for “Not one of us, dear”), their intended victim inches higher in the estimation of the bourgeoisie. Trump was, I thought, the second-worst candidate for president in 2016. Luckily for him (and us), the Democrats nominated Hillary Clinton and she and her media minions showed us their undisguised contempt for the average American. Amazingly, the aristocracy seems to believe that they can win the voters over if they just insult and vilify them enough.

From what I have read the only Brexit is a hard Brexit. The EU was not interested in negoiating, only in making the process drag on and on until the forces of Brexit crumbled. I wonder if Johnson is willing to bite the bullet?

I’ve been watching Boris for the past couple of years. He has a tendency to say exactly what he thinks, political correctness be damned. Some admirable qualities. He’s the UK Trump.
