Nonetheless, all facetiousness aside(!?)---i.e., while "sliming" is indeed important, it's NOT, actually, the main issue.

The essential problem, the elemental problem (some might even say, the basic problem...the core problem?) is that no matter how you cut it, the Jewish State (AKA the Zionist Entity....AAKA "that sh**ty country"), since the heady years of Oslo, the eye-opening "second intifada", and a whole slough of mini-wars with Hamas, as well as (if you will) the continuing slow-burn conflict with the PA, has increasingly concluded that it must refuse, absolutely refuse, adamantly refuse, categorically refuse....to "make peace" with a "partner in peace" whose goal it is to destroy said Jewish State (which destruction is, in fact----surprise!!---the definition of "peace" for Israel's "partner in peace").

IOW, since Israel (i.e., the majority of Israel's voters---though still, only a bit more than half of the electorate) has decided that it will not agree, or least not yet agree, to be destroyed by its "partners in peace", the country must therefore be vilified by all decent, intelligent, caring and concerned people as an intransigent, anti-peace, war mongering, beyond-the-pale, colonialist, White, oppressive, Nazi---ZIONIST---apartheid state.

As such, Israel must be "helped" by all those decent, intelligent, caring and concerned folks to see the light, to change its mind, to alter its direction---to make "peace" with its "partners in peace"...so that peace can break out throughout the region and throughout the world.

And to "help" Israel see the light, all the decent, intelligent, caring and concerned people have the DUTY---the RESPONSIBILITY---to hold Israel's feet to the fire (via tendentious articles, boycotts, attacks, slanders, defamations, blood libels---all, of course, for the right reasons, for the best of reasons, for purely moral reasons) until Israel is prepared to make "peace" (with its "partner in peace", for whom "peace" means Israel's disappearance...but I repeat myself).

Thus, the KEY is to believe, truly and absolutely, that Israel's "partners in peace" genuinely wish to live alongside Israel in "peace" (as the word is understood in the West).

IOW, the KEY is to persuade oneself---i.e., to thoroughly delude oneself to believe---that Israel's "partners in peace" do NOT wish to destroy Israel. Absolutely not.

Once all the decent, intelligent caring and concerned people are able to believe THAT---and it's incredibly easy to do, quite obviously!!---then the State of Israel will be---must be---held entirely responsible (or almost entirely responsible) for the absence of "peace", for the fact that "peace" is "elusive", for the plaintive warning that "peace" is dying....or that the "window of peace" is fast closing.

And everything done to counter the State of Israel is legitimate. Is necessary. Is ethical. Is the epitome of morality.

And so everything goes...until "peace" (AKA Israel's destruction) is achieved.

(All this, of course, gives the Palestinians every incentive to continue what is essentially a war of attrition...until Israel disappears---not that they need any incentives. But since all the above is most certainly not part of "the narrative" then one can basically ignore it...while labeling anyone who does believe such absolute "nonsense" a war-monger, zio-nazi, fantasist, racist, fascist, etc.)

Remember: the KEY is to deny that the goal of Oslo (as all else before Oslo) is Israel's destruction. After that, anything is possible...and everything is permissible.

"Finally, there is some good news. One traditional anti-Semitic trope is that "the Jews control the media." People who peddle this nonsense often point to the New York Times, which is, in fact, published by a prominent Jewish family, the Sulzbergers. Anyone who reads the New York Times will immediately see the lie in this bigoted claim: " - Dershowitz

The family connections and ideologies of the current NYT owners/publishers has been noted above by Kate; they are only barely, just nominally, Jewish in any meaningful sense.

However, even if "the Jews," in the person of one family, did control "the media," in the instance of one newspaper, they did it to the detriment of their religious community, not in support of it, as Dersh concludes:

"Yes, the New York Times has long been controlled by a Jewish family. But this Jewish family is far from being supportive of Jewish values, the nation-state of the Jewish people or Jewish sensibilities. If anything, it has used its Jewishness as an excuse to say about Jews and do to Jews what no mainstream newspaper, not owned by Jews, would ever do."
