31 years is nothing to sneeze at, but from my POV it is sad it is not still accruing more years. Not a criticism, just a bit of sadness.

31 years is a great run, beats mine by 1 year. The cupid is nice, my ex also wanted a small wedding, but with her dad being a long time Teamster Steward and I being in the Navy at the time (hence the s1c moniker) it kept on growing to about 100 at a nice banquet place in CT. Still it was smaller than the bachelor party (100 sailors and 100 teamsters in one place made quite a party).

The Cupid is a good tradition, hopefully my daughter will keep up the tradition of her great great grandmothers wedding dishes being used at the head table at her wedding.

The marriage didn’t last, but it had a good run. Thirty-one years. So Cupid must have been doing something right.

It’s a lovely cake and Cupid is cute. I am always amazed at what people spend on weddings nowadays. And the audacity of those who do “destination” weddings is really amazing.
