Looking forward to this film. Will be interesting to see if they can act. They did the same thing with “Act of Valor,” with active duty SEALs portraying SEALs.

In Clint I trust. We will gladly watch this; like Grand Torino, American Sniper, etc. We watch Outlaw Josie Wales twice a year. Revenge is a normal human desire. It is what makes us human. No other animal kills for revenge. It is in our DNA.

The hard left has perhaps learned this lesson, but does not realize we have the skills they lack.

Sounds like the movie will follow the book, which would follow, I suppose.
It jumps around the lives, young and younger, the education, and so forth of these three guys. It does the same for the gunman.
I did an article for Good Men Project in which I suggested that the military background of Skarlatos and Stone was a minor part of their makeup. They were not, I said, hard-faced noncoms from the Foreign legion, Delta or SEAL operators, or US paratroopers after their third deployment.
Stone was a medical tech who did martial arts on the side, Skarlatos was a National Guardsman, and Sadler had no military training.
The National Guard is an American thing; even our part timers can kick your ass. For college students, being called up is like a gap year. You travel, you meet interesting people, some of whom try to kill you and you kill them, and you get paid.
Ninety percent of what these guys are and did is being an American young man.
The subhead in the GMP article was in keeping with GMP’s mission. “Are we forcing our boys into the man box?” Actually, no, we’re allowing it. Mostly.
